It's not sitting on the tracks --you can see it was on one-side of the track when it slid off. I get what you mean about it being $400K, but it looks like a simple fix: Slide it onto BOTH sides of the track.

Straight forward partially clipped tread plate problem. Enough force to keep it place but pops when pulled. Looking at the leather sag I would think the same amateurs assembled them too
