It wasn't the wrong person, It was a mentally ill homeless man and they find out he has a tumour but cant consent so they do the surgery and fix it. Revealing he was actually a missing father/husband and reunite him with his family.

The above scene shows doctors prepping for emergency brain surgery on a guy who's vehemently insisting he's the wrong patient. He keeps demanding his lawyer, but the lead surgeon (Dr. Wilson, I believe) declares him mentally incompetent due to the tumor and overrides everyone to go ahead anyway.

Some doesn’t feel right with the script. If the guy went missing in 2006, and his wife was granted a divorce in 2009. A person is not legally dead and/or missing unless it’s more than seven years. So this storyline is not making sense with the timeline.
