When she saw him, she exclaimed "My God, you're here. And you brought your guitar!" at which point a beaming David made his way through the crowd to join his daughter on the venue's small stage. "You're coming to upstage me? Okay, cool," laughed his daughter. Seeing father and daughter performing together is magnificent. What a connection… How lucky to be able to say that David Gilmour is your father!

Last night was the first night of a six-night performance of David Gilmour at the legendary venue Royal Albert Hall. With its awesome design and atmosphere, Royal Albert Hall is already one of a kind venue for such musicians. Comfortably Numb, including arguably the best guitar solo of all time in itself, was performed to a beautiful audience by some of the most talented musicians of all time. The lights, atmosphere, and the instruments tell all that I have to say to describe this awesome performance. Look and watch closer, the man you're gonna watch is almost 80 years old. 80.
