Majority of Sunnis are against Yazid and his aggressions and atrocities. Only a minority are blindly loyal to rulers, remain silent, or support Yazid. This gives such rulers an easy justification to suppress any opposition or threat. It is like saying: “If the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH) could be killed, then who are you to stand against me?” That is why you will find this ideology popular in some Gulf countries. The problem with many Shias is that they take an extreme position. They lean too much toward emotions and become overly dramatic, with very little connection to reality. We mourn for Hasan (RA) and Husain (RA), but we do not let emotions drive us to an extreme position like many of you do. Many of you elevate Ali (RA) out of sympathy and because of emotional incidents connected to him, which is wrong. But I can tell you for sure, the majority of Sunnis are strongly against Yazid... Many of you may not be aware of that.

Sunnis love the prophets grandchild. Hassan and Houssain are very common names among Sunnis. Never heard of anyone being named Yazid. He is universally viewed as a tyrant.
