Here’s the full clip. A few things I’d please like you to note. 1. It’s a comedy show. Where three comedians make jokes as we review the next day’s newspapers. 2. This story was about the response of Trump to a Bishop who’d given a self-righteous sermon in front of him. After he’d just taken action to protect women and children being harmed by gender ideology. 3. A minor point, but I want to highlight that all three comics come from across the political spectrum, all providing a different take on the story. Even though I disagree with some of the Bishop’s ideology, I acknowledged her bravery. 4. Still. Thinking this was a bit rich coming from a Bishop, and being a comedian, on a comedy show, I made a joke about paedophilia in the church (bit hack), connecting it to the wrong ‘uns in the + that she was seemingly advocating for. A point I and other advocates for LGB rights have repeatedly made before. I then quote from their website “It talks about the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons, I just want to say that that includes pedos! If you’re talking about the FULL inclusion!” And how we laughed and further riffed off the back of it. 5. This is the most important point: notice how in the seven second clip that’s making the rounds, they deliberately cut out that final….”If you’re talking about the FULL inclusion.” Because that makes clear that I’m talking about the + end of the scale. The point, my intent, the context, are all much clearer with those words included. And a deliberate and conscious choice was made to cut them out because it didn’t fit what they wanted to pretend I meant. As opposed to what I actually said. 6. Who would do such a thing? To what agenda? Here’s a fact. The Good Law Project, who edited and put out the clip, is the same organisation that took the UK’s only exclusively gay rights charity to court. And lost. And now they want to chuck out accusations of homophobia? Anyway. Headliners. Every night at 11pm. Only on GB News.

A$AP Rocky recalls what it was like spending a month in a Swedish jail in 2019. On Tuesday (Jan. 20), Ebro Darden shared a clip of his upcoming full interview with Pretty Flacko. In the clip, Rocky talks about making international news when he was arrested and jailed for assault in Sweden. "Let me break it down," Rocky said. "The cell is about the size of this area here. A little bit smaller. No bathroom. Just a sink and a mirror, a bed, a desk and a little cot. When you need to go to the bathroom, you gotta ask for permission. You ring a bell. Sometimes, they'll leave you in the bathroom for about an hour in the dark, because the light turns off after five minutes." "If you had a shower, they didn't have no towels," Rock continued. "You had to make your own makeshift towels. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't Rikers [Island], but it was inconvenient. It wasn't sweet." The Harlem, N.Y., rapper said he began learning more about his case when it was featured on international news and President Trump started talking about freeing Rocky. "I was honored, but then I was so low," he added. "But when I saw my peers...all agreeing, 'Yo, that ain't right.'...Honestly, Ebro, that sh*t lifted my spirits so crazy that even when I got out, I was still on a high from that." We clearly have a different view of the Instagram Live and the fact that Jesy has never even VAGUELY distanced herself from what Nicki said about Leigh-Anne in the 5 years since. Jesy was also happy to throw Leigh under the bus and ONLY didn’t continue talking about her because she was cut off by Nicki. When Jesy WAS talking, she acted like it was the responsibility of the women of colour in Little Mix to educate her about blackfishing, while simultaneously acting irritated that they’d tried to (which, contrary to what Nicki said, happened BEFORE she decided to leave the group). She singled out Leigh-Anne for raising the issue with her (a year prior), despite Little Mix alleging that they’d ALL tried to help inform her about blackfishing “in a very friendly, educational manner.” She downplayed the blackfishing issue regardless, exposed her ignorance, and didn’t take any accountability or apologise once. She essentially tried to gaslight people that her skin tone and wig texture have always been “natural”, despite all of the evidence that this isn’t the case. (If it’s true that she’s so naturally tan, where has her tan gone now?) She acted like her curly wig and tan in the ‘Boyz’ music video were the only issue, therefore dodging criticism of her other instances of blackfishing, and ignoring the arguable racism in the lyrics and video – saying “Diddy saw the video and HE accepted it, HE didn’t have a problem with it.” (If she thought the colour of his skin added weight to his opinion, why didn’t she value Leigh-Anne’s?) She talked about how “hard” it was for HER and how much it “really hurt” HER that people of colour “may have” been offended by the video and song, but if she truly DID care about offending people of colour, she’d have simply listened to them (and her bandmates of colour) in the year(s) prior and never released the song/video in the first place. By singling out Leigh-Anne on the Instagram Live, she treated this like some sort of trivial, tit-for-tat issue and not a loaded racial issue. Not only that, but issues that impacted Leigh while they were in Little Mix together, which Jesy had been made well aware of. But ultimately, she took offence to Leigh-Anne’s offence, and decided that her feelings mattered more than her Black bandmate’s. I don’t know if all of this is because Jesy doesn’t care enough about racial issues to accept criticism and accountability, or if she’s just truly too ignorant to understand, no matter how hard people have tried to educate her. And unfortunately we still don’t know, because she didn’t address the topic satisfactorily in her documentary either, instead just saying she was unaware what she was doing was offensive (“If I had known that was how it [‘Boyz’] was going to ‘play out’, never in a million years would I have put it out. It actually breaks my heart that it, like, upset people.”) This is despite it being well established that her bandmate(s), fans and journalists had made her aware beforehand – just for her to repeatedly plead the same obliviousness she’s feigning now. She does go on to claim that she “learned a lot” from the “controversy” (“It’s just sad. It’s just one of them things, and I’ve learnt a lot from it”) – but doesn’t seem to consider the topic worthy enough to warrant a discussion of what exactly she learned from the experience (other than it teaching her that the music industry is, much like her former spray tans, “quite dark”.) We clearly have a different view of the Instagram Live and the fact that Jesy has never even VAGUELY distanced herself from what Nicki said about Leigh-Anne in the 5 years since. Jesy was also happy to throw Leigh under the bus and ONLY didn’t continue talking about her because she was cut off by Nicki. When Jesy WAS talking, she acted like it was the responsibility of the women of colour in Little Mix to educate her about blackfishing, while simultaneously acting irritated that they’d tried to (which, contrary to what Nicki said, happened BEFORE she decided to leave the group). She singled out Leigh-Anne for raising the issue with her (a year prior), despite Little Mix alleging that they’d ALL tried to help inform her about blackfishing “in a very friendly, educational manner.” She downplayed the blackfishing issue regardless, exposed her ignorance, and didn’t take any accountability or apologise once. She essentially tried to gaslight people that her skin tone and wig texture have always been “natural”, despite all of the evidence that this isn’t the case. (If it’s true that she’s so naturally tan, where has her tan gone now?) She acted like her curly wig and tan in the ‘Boyz’ music video were the only issue, therefore dodging criticism of her other instances of blackfishing, and ignoring the arguable racism in the lyrics and video – saying “Diddy saw the video and HE accepted it, HE didn’t have a problem with it.” (If she thought the colour of his skin added weight to his opinion, why didn’t she value Leigh-Anne’s?) NEVER wait for sex. In an era where ALL women have given it up on the first date, the man who waits is a damned fool. The problem is WAYYY too many guys think that the girl who makes you wait for sex is a chaste conservative traditional type of girl (LMAO). Marvel owned San Diego Comic-Con. A day later, people were still talking about the leaked DOOMSDAY footage, the cast onstage, Ghost Rider, Black Panther 3 and everything else that came out of Hall H. DC brought the director and star of CLAYFACE to the Jim Lee and Friends panel in Room 6DE. A room that holds fewer than 900 people. Not Ballroom 20 with nearly 5,000 seats. Not Hall H with 6,500. Room 6DE, which feels like somewhere you put a nice comics panel—not the next theatrical movie in your supposedly massive cinematic universe. And then it came and went. Nobody cared. James Gunn keeps arguing that he can generate the same engagement by posting a screenplay cover on Instagram. Maybe he can get the same number of likes. But engagement isn’t excitement. Hall H creates footage, cast photos, crowd reactions, leaks and a moment people keep replaying for months. An Instagram post tells you a movie exists. After SUPERGIRL killed much of the goodwill around the DCU, they needed more than that. They needed to show confidence. They didn’t have to out-cast DOOMSDAY. Give us one great MAN OF TOMORROW tease. Show Brainiac doing something terrifying. Show Superman realizing he can’t beat him alone. Put Lex beside him. Give people a reason to care. Instead, Marvel created the weekend’s defining moment while DC tucked CLAYFACE into a side room and hoped people would notice.
