The first of ten machine vision cameras every round passes by during our automated quality control process. This one checks primer orientation before final acceptance. We also check primer orientation immediately after insertion, earlier in the assembly process, but it's a critical detail that's worthy of inspecting twice. Every round matters, because when you need it to work it had better fucking work. Different standards for different professions. Some people like working in jobs where they're allowed to be wrong without penalty, but we prefer to work in an industry where being wrong is a matter of life and death.

I just found out that in 2015, the Los Angeles SPCA gave their annual National Hero Dog award to a tabby cat named Tara. Yes, you read that right, a cat was given a dog award. It remains the first and only time a feline has ever won the title. A year earlier in Bakersfield, USA, four-year-old Jeremy Triantafilo was riding a bicycle in his driveway when a neighbor's dog escaped and went after him. The animal grabbed the boy by the leg and started pulling him down the pavement. Before anyone else could react, Tara sprinted across the yard and body-slammed the much larger canine. She chased the intruder down the street to make sure it was gone, then immediately ran straight back to check on the four-year-old.

🔹Yesterday, a neighbour who was a devoted father, husband, brother, and friend to many passed away in his sleep. He suffered a cardiac arrest in his bedroom. I was one of the first people on the scene after hearing the sounds of someone crying. When I ran into the apartment to see what was happening, I found him lifeless, he had no pulse and was completely unresponsive. I immediately called for an ambulance and the police. 🔸This incident is weighing heavily on my mind. It made me realise just how fragile life truly is. Someone I had just greeted in the corridor the night before was gone by morning. Please, everyone ndapota, if you are prone to high blood pressure, check your BP regularly to ensure you are safe as this was the case with this gentleman and he was fighting to lose weight at the time of his demise. May His Soul Rest In Peace 🙏🏽

The ability to maintain focus is key to your child’s social and emotional development. This month I’m partnering with The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood (the UK’s Royal Foundation Centre on Early Childhood) to explore children’s social emotional development in celebration of the Centre’s newest publication, The Shaping Us Framework – and today we’re looking at the third of the framework’s six key pillars: Focus Our Thoughts. One of the places that focus assists us most is in the area of problem solving, which has been linked to a host of positive outcomes in school and life. Check out this little problem solver, shared to IG by theoriginal_captain. The board book he’s reading has a feature he’s eager to take advantage of – a mirror hidden under a fabric flap. But in order to raise the mirror to his face, he must first overcome an obstacle: keeping the mirror exposed. Watch as he makes several attempts, maintaining focus on the problem at hand, eventually finding success after folding and creasing the flap in its downward position at its base. That’s focus in action. You can support focus and problem solving at home by providing (or simply not intervening immediately in) challenges that are “just right” for your child’s stage of development… giving them the opportunity to focus their attention on a task’s completion and the time to experiment and learn through trial and error. Want to see a crime in progress? It was actually a first for our drone team after we received a report this morning about a man breaking into cars near Pearl Street. Our Drone as First Responder officers heard the call come out and immediately sent a drone to the scene. Within 30 seconds, it captured this video. Thankfully, our officers in cars arrived shortly thereafter and swiftly took the suspect into custody without issue. He was then booked into jail on three counts of First Degree Trespass to a Vehicle. Theft, and Criminal Possession of a Financial Transaction Device. We share this because we believe there could be additional victims whose cars were broken into. So if you parked in the alley or street area near the 1000 block of Pearl Street around 11 a.m. today, please check your cars and let us know if you might have been victimized. You can call Dispatch non-emergency anytime at 303-441-3333 reference case 25-12004. We’d also like to take this moment to remind the community that one of the best ways to protect your property and your vehicles is to keep them locked. As in every criminal case, these charges are an accusation, and the suspect is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.

Just saw a video of Zakir Khan on Instagram and it resonated with me immediately. I genuinely don’t understand what makes some people assume that certain people don’t belong in Business Class, First Class, or premium spaces. On my recent trip back to Mumbai, I walked up to the Business Class check-in counter at Vietnam Airlines. The staff immediately pointed me towards the Economy line. Only after I showed my boarding pass did she realize her mistake and apologize. Then on the flight, I noticed the cabin crew proactively offering drinks, snacks, and options to other passengers. My 8-year-old daughter was repeatedly overlooked until I specifically pointed out that she was a Business Class passenger too and should be asked independently, just like everyone else. Before people jump in and say the problem is with me, I think many of us have experienced this at least once in our lives. You pay for a premium service, yet sometimes you still have to prove that you’re entitled to receive it. And I’m not talking about race, color, or nationality. I’m talking about assumptions people make at an individual level. Have you ever paid for Business Class, VIP access, elite status, or a premium experience and still felt that someone assumed you didn’t belong there?

🚨BREAKING: ICE/Border Patrol agents were caught on camera admitting that following and filming them is LEGAL… and then illegally threatening U.S. citizens with arrest anyway, in Minneapolis. In the video, two agents approach the people filming and say, “You need to stop following us. This is your first and last warning.” The filmer responds, correctly, “That’s not illegal.” An agent then says the quiet part out loud: “I know.” But immediately pivots to, “It’s illegal to impede.” The citizens point out they are not impeding anything, which the agents themselves had already acknowledged. Filming and following on a public roadway is legal. The agents admit they understand this… and still issue a “warning” anyway. When pressed to explain what law is being violated, the agents falsely cite 18 U.S.C. § 111, which does not criminalize public observation or filming. When challenged, they back off, walk away… and then escalate again. One agent yells, “Next time I pull you over, you’re going to get arrested.” Arrested for what? He can’t say. Only after repeated questioning how they are impeding does the agent suddenly claim “impeding traffic.” Even though the citizens were only stopped because the agents unlawfully confronted them in the first place. That’s the point. This is the same pattern we saw when they murdered Renee Good: • Illegal stops • Manufactured violations • Escalation created by the agents themselves • Threats, intimidation, and force justified after the fact They corner people, provoke a situation, then use the situation they created to claim authority… even when they admit no law was broken. This isn’t law enforcement. It’s entrapment, intimidation, and a reckless abuse of power… And we’ve already seen where this pattern leads.
