Important back and forth between Secretary Marco Rubio + Chairman Rep. John Moolenaar on China's exploitation of our student visa program to steal IP & conduct espionage. ***300,000*** Chinese nationals come here each year on student visas. My Stop CCP Visas Act will put a stop to that.

Rep. Moore’s Stop CCP VISAs Act is a critical step to end Beijing’s exploitation of our academic institutions. The FBI’s 2023 case at Camp Grayling exposed Chinese nationals on student visas photographing U.S.-Taiwan military drills, while Stanford’s own investigation revealed systematic CCP espionage targeting AI and robotics research. With over 60 CCP-linked espionage incidents under Biden’s watch, H.R. 10314’s Section 2(a) banning these visas isn’t just prudent—it’s national security 101. America’s tech leadership can’t be outsourced to adversaries. Secure the labs, protect the IP, and put American innovation first.

@SecRubio @RepMoolenaar It will undoubtedly help but will not stop IP theft and espionage operations on our campuses. Professors (many of which are U.S. citizens co-opted by the CCP) and institutes also need to be held accountable.

@SecRubio @RepMoolenaar 我个人很支持这个法案,中美其实应该完全脱钩,这对中美两国人民的友好(距离产生美)和世界和平有好处。中国不管美国的事,美国也不准管中国的事,脱钩。

@SecRubio @RepMoolenaar Whether direct theft or extention of tendrils, CN students win and we lose. Espionage or no, CN students return to CN regarded as conquerors with better opp for wealth-accumulation and status. CN人 then laugh at our naivety for facilitating our decline and their growth. No visas!

@SecRubio @RepMoolenaar The CCP is not Chinese. The CCP is not China. The CCP created the virus and the Chinese are also victims. This is the only truth! #CCPVirus #UnrestrictedBioweapon #WhistleblowerMovement #NFSC #MilesGuo #Gettr

🚨 President Trump is again allowing Chinese Students into our colleges and universities… Odd, as this Directly contradicts Sen. Ashley Moody’s recent bill • A stunning story just revealed that China’s 2015 National Security Law and 2017 National Intelligence Law effectively transforms all Chinese nationals, including students, into spies obligated to serve the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) by law. • These mandates compel every Chinese student in the U.S. to engage in espionage, turning them into unwilling agents of the CCP under threat of severe repercussions. • May 2025. Florida Senator Ashley Moody, presented the “Stop CCP VISAs Act” to halt Chinese student visas over concerns of espionage. • 300,000+ Chinese students annually—steal U.S. tech and spy on military bases —— one instance is the five students who were charged in 2024 for photographing U.S.-Taiwan drills —— another instance, two Chinese students were arrested in 2020 at Naval Air Station Key West, for illegally entering Naval Air Station Key West, Florida, and taking photographs of military infrastructure. • Moody, backed by Reps. Moore, Owens, Nehls, and Gill, painted a grim picture: Chinese students siphon billions in intellectual property, exploiting open campuses. • May 2025, a “Stanford Review” report, showed a widespread Beijing-orchestrated intelligence-gathering campaign on Stanford University’s campus, claiming Chinese students and researchers are involved in espionage. Ashley Moody’s bill now has roughly a 4% chance of passing… meaning, it likely won’t pass. So what’s the plan to stop Chinese espionage?
