Here's the problem: these restrictions were applied using a double standard. University delegates were repeatedly told to move the Jewish protestors back, even though it was the other side coming up to us to taunt us. They were told NOT to enforce policies when talking to the “Free Palestine” protestors. (2/4)

The university tried to send us to a barely visible side location, while the “Free Palestine” movement had unlimited access to the center of campus. (3/4)

SUMMARY OF DISCRIMINATION: - pro-Israel protestors were "assigned" a side area, while pro-Palestine protestors were "assigned" the center of campus - pro-Israel protestors were not allowed to use their speaker, while pro-Palestine protestors banged drums, used megaphones, and screamed for hours - in the name of a "buffer zone," pro-Israel protestors were repeatedly told to back up, while pro-Palestine protestors were given exclusive access to the sundial area - Jeanine D'Armiento has argued for loose time/place/manner regulations for months in the name of free speech, but all of the sudden she wants to enforce rules on Jewish students

Columbia has also insisted that any commemoration of October 7th be held indoors, away from view. Obviously there are, again, Title VI and Title VII violations if Columbia admins have been duly informed of the problems and have taken no actions, as seems to be the case to judge from what you have said. Getting in touch with @EdWorkforceCmte, your attorney, or the Brandeis Center if you haven't got one would seem to be a good move. If you start a petition, I will do everything I can to help you get signatures as well all your supporters on social media. Don't let the bastards win.
