For the non-neurosurgeons, sorry for all the anatomical lingo. Bottom line: it means that you can reach targets deep in the brain safely if you study the brain’s tiny seams and nooks, and find ways to tread lightly….

And I should add, these insights allow us to go to places surgically where we never would have gone before.
