Freedom from Worry: Trust God's Sovereignty In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches us to shift our focus from the worries of this world to the kingdom of God. He says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?" (Matthew 6:25). As Christians, we're called to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, trusting that all these things will be given to us (Matthew 6:33). When we focus on God's kingdom, our worries begin to fade away. The Bible reminds us, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6). Anxiety creeps in when we try to take control of things that are meant to be in God's hands. But when we surrender to His will, we can experience peace that surpasses all understanding. Let go of your worries and focus on God's kingdom. Trust that He will take care of your needs. Seek His righteousness, and He will guide you through life's challenges. INEC has announced that Nigerians can now begin and complete their voter registration online through its portal This means there is now even less excuse for not obtaining your Permanent Voter Card (PVC). However, I have a question for INEC. If commercial banks in Nigeria can issue ATM cards through self-service dispensing machines within minutes, why can’t INEC introduce a similar system for collecting PVCs? Wouldn’t that make the process faster, more efficient, and less stressful for millions of Nigerians? These are legitimate questions aimed at improving access to voter registration and participation. With the voter registration deadline approaching at the end of July, I encourage every eligible Nigerian who has not yet registered to do so. Please get your PVC. Your vote is your voice, and your participation matters. Justice can never be cracked.

We worry because we think we are in control. But we aren’t- God is. There’s no possible way for us to know what tomorrow will bring. All we can do is trust in the One who does. Scripture says we can’t add a single hour to our life by worrying. Worrying does NOTHING to help the situation- but we still do it because our flesh needs to feel in control. Teach yourself to deny your flesh. Recite scripture or pray in those moments and give it ALL to God. Lay EVERYTHING down at His feet and let go of it. Trust God to actually be God!

There will always be resistance. But the good news is you have already overcome by the blood of Jesus! You can choose to stand on what God says is true even when everything around you says otherwise. Stay in God. Keep standing. Because if you will stand firm, I promise you- your season will turn. Your situation will turn. Galatians 6:9, "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." Tag someone who needs to hear this today. 🙏
