Chai, this hits hard My niece had malaria like 3 months ago and we used one of those powder ones the pharmacy gave us. No wonder it took forever to clear. Thanks for always looking out for us doc, you're saving lives fr. Parents, please check your cabinets NOW! What alternatives are best for kids under 5?

@mr_chiboi Please note that it’s only the arthemeter/lumefatrine combination. Because that's the only dry powder for oral suspension that's affected

Also , the "soft gel" form of antimalaria pills. In hot climates like Nigeria, Softgels can melt or deform , The active drug can break down & Potency may reduce before you even take it. Tablets are generally more heat-stable, so guys ..try using “Tablets” more often

No wonder we were treating malaria for almost a month in my little boy, all the medication had this powdered medicine you needed to mix with water and they were prescribed by doctors Ooo

This very one you used in the video was given to us with combination of others at first (leonart or so), the second time we went back they gave us another set we had to mix with water too.

Only a medical professional should prescribe drugs. And it should be one that knows the person and their medical history

🚨 Thank you @aproko_doctor for this life-saving alert! Parents, especially mums should please stop using multi-dose Artemether/Lumefantrine dry powder suspensions for malaria in children. NAFDAC's Public Alert No. 09/2026 and the original 01/2025 directive confirms these become unstable after mixing with water leading to rapid loss of potency and treatment can fail, putting little ones at serious risk. Safer options for kids include: ✅ Dispersible ACT tablets (e.g. dispersible artemether-lumefantrine) ✅ Single-dose sachets/powders that don't require multi-day reconstitution Check your medicine cabinets today and consult a pharmacist or doctor for the right paediatric formulation. Our children's health is non-negotiable 💛 Please RT and tag other parents. Awareness saves lives #ChildHealth #MalariaAwareness #NAFDACAlerts
