Young students were assaulted by the Police to send a message - never dare to raise your voice again. #WATCH | "We wanted to protest peacefully, but they made us a target of tear gas. Democracy is being strangled," says Omar Abdullah. "We have come to our national capital to demand our rights. Unfortunately, they are not allowing us to protest peacefully. Democracy is being strangled. There are at most 100 of us who have come from Jammu and Kashmir with the hope that we would be allowed to protest peacefully at Jantar Mantar and demand our rights from the Central government. We also wanted to remind the Centre of the promise it made on the floor of Parliament and before the Supreme Court to restore statehood to J&K after the elections. The Supreme Court had directed the Centre to restore statehood to J&K as soon as possible. If they do not want to adhere to the Supreme Court's directions, they should say so openly—that they will not restore statehood to J&K. We will then decide our course of action." The Delhi Police granted him (Abhijeet Dipke) permission at the airport itself... That permission was valid until 5 PM. But these protesters remained there. Abhijeet Dipke arrived at the Delhi airport. - He was expecting a lot of people to welcome him but very few people were there. - Delhi Police was also there and gave him permission to protest at Jantar Mantar till 5 PM. - Dipke's plan to go to Police Station and play victim card busted. - Dipke will now go Jantar Mantar where some like minded individuals will shout in 40°C. - At around 5 PM, Dipke will tell Delhi Police that he wants to protest till 10 PM. - And Delhi Police will give him that permission as well. 😂😂😂 Dipke's plans to play victim card are falling apart at a very rapid pace.

Prohibitory orders under section 163 BNSS are in force in whole of the New Delhi district area so according to that assembly of 5 or more persons, protest marches or demonstrations are not allowed except for the designated protest site Jantar Mantar that too only after permission. From tomorrow onwards, Parliament session is also commencing so elaborate security arrangements would be in place for public safety and security of protectees as well as for protection of vital government installations. Any person violating the applicable 163 BNSS orders will be liable for legal action. Therefore, Delhi Police appeals to all the citizens that they respect law and refrain from participating in any unauthorized gatherings or marches and cooperate in maintaining public peace safety and security"
