It's definitely possible to force a buyback and remove guns from all legal gun owners, and make it illegal to own guns. Then you just have criminals with guns. What could go wrong?

He is correct, if we melt down all the guns then no one dies of gun death. People die of many other kinds of things that aren’t guns. Why is a gun death not acceptable but other deaths are. If you get stabbed to dead or bludgeoned or poisoned do you say at least it wasn’t a gun death ? This guy looks like he will eat himself to death, should we destroy all the cheeseburgers and chocolate shakes to save his life so no one ever dies of diabetes and obesity. About 20 x more people die of preventable disease than they do of gun violence. We could literally save lives if we walked 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. Is he interested in saving the most lives or just obsessed about guns.

Put aside how impossible it would be to gather up all the guns, and how you would force people not to make any more. Humans have been killing each other since the very beginning. Even if there were no guns, people would still kill each other. Human nature is unchanged.
