this is SUCH a good explanation, i’ve talked to vocal teachers who haven’t been able to explain this as well, it’s about finding a sweet spot, i’m a baritone naturally and usually i don’t alter my pitch that much when im speaking, it’s mostly about the vocal weight 💖

Thank you for free little lesson, oh vocal angel!! 🪽🌟

thank you sam 😌

You say vocal weight, but then you discuss dry and breathy sounds in the video. How do those terms correlate to weight?

a thick weight will create a buzzier sound, and a thinner weight will create a lighter, airy sound. I'm just using layperson terms like breath and nasality to try to make the concept more approachable

That thin air is continuous and lacks resistance that a buzzy, nasally sound has.

Meanwhile, I still think my voice sounds mediocre at best. Then again, most people say I am way too hard on myself. Regardless, probably the best thing that has come from working with you when it comes to my voice is how aware it has made of the vocal fry I have/had, so I can continuously work on removing it from my voice.

that was SO good ty

At this point idk if it’s something wrong with my brain or just my vocal cords but yeah I can’t do this lol

ur like blair white but the good version. it’s awesome

this may be both the most unusual and best compliment I've ever received. the Reverse Blair White

yeah mad sexy
