On July 20, 2025, rookie Trooper Holly Romero saw a blue Hyundai Kona with hazard lights run a red light on Highway 67 in Saline County, Arkansas. She pursued when the driver, April Robinson, failed to stop. The chase reached over 100 mph, with Robinson swerving into oncoming traffic. It seems that Republicans are trying to gaslight everyone into believing that Dayanne Figueroa rammed into an ICE agent’s car… So let’s break down the video, frame by frame. 1. This is Chicago… a dense, urban area with traffic in every direction. 2. The street is two-way… you can clearly see another car driving toward the camera. 3. The ICE agent, in an unmarked vehicle, is sitting in the road. 4. They then make a very wide turn… onto the left side of the road. 5. At this point, the agent is driving on the wrong side of the road. 6. The ICE agent, seemingly unaware of their surroundings (never ideal while driving in a major city), tries to enter the correct lane… without signaling, and without checking to see if someone’s already in that lane. 7. And it turns out, someone was already in that lane… Note: A federal agent, in an unmarked vehicle, does not have the right of way unless they have their 🚨 on. The ICE agent did NOT have their 🚨 on. 8. So, the ICE agent made an improper and unsafe lane change and hit Dayanne Figueroa’s car. 9. More footage of River lampreys (Lampetra fluviatilis) blocked at Annacotty weir last week. People have asked me why I don't put the camera down, net them, and move them over the weir—or why other locals don’t do this themselves with nets to ‘sort this out.’ I note that some netting did occur last week, but I have advised local people not to engage in this. Unfortunately, there may have also been instances of poaching. I’ve provided the following reasons why ad hoc netting is not recommended for this site: Reason 1: Netting without a license is illegal. Reason 2: Netting would need to be done every night, not just once, to address the issue. Reason 3: Without proper recording, the lampreys’ plight won’t be highlighted, which diminishes the case for a long-term solution. Reason 4: Unlawful, unplanned netting could encourage lamprey poaching for use as fishing bait. Reason 5: Improper handling could result in the lampreys being washed downstream again. Reason 6: Netting is inefficient and ineffective, as lampreys will scatter as soon as netting begins. Reason 7: Netting and handling can harm the lampreys. Reason 8: It’s dangerous to walk on a slippery weir. There’s a right way and a wrong way to address this issue. My original proposal for an interim solution involves using a trap. The lampreys are naturally drawn to the old sluice gate area of the weir, making it relatively easy to trap them here and move them upstream in a planned, managed way.

I think Hannah really hit the nail on the head of what I was getting at when she talked about how there is a phenomenon of this new generation being able to do and act however they want without any consequence whatsoever due to a lack of discipline from parents who want to be their child’s best friend. And again, I want to clarify that I take full responsibility for my improper wording, as I really was only referring to unruly, undisciplined, misbehaved (shithead) kids and not all children in general. Coming from a family of eight correctly disciplined kids who would never act out the way I saw the entitled brat who inspired my original tweet act out, I said what I felt in the moment without even thinking of how generalised it sounded. I also wanted to point out that it’s nonsensical for people to get upset that I called a straight person a ‘breeder’ after they referred to me as a “hateful queer”.

Brooklyn: Belt Parkway @ Knapp Street, a 25-year-old man who allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend in New Jersey sparked a chaotic multi-borough pursuit, breaking through police attempts to stop him before being boxed in and arrested on the Belt Parkway. According to police, the incident began in Hoboken, New Jersey, where the suspect allegedly abducted his ex-girlfriend. New Jersey police were tracking the vehicle and notified NYPD Staten Island that it was heading over the Goethals Bridge into Staten Island. The vehicle was reported to have mismatched plates. Officers from the NYPD 62nd Precinct located the vehicle as it continued along the Belt Parkway. Officers attempted to block the vehicle, but the suspect forced his way through, leading to a pursuit. As the suspect attempted to evade police, he sideswiped multiple vehicles, including NYPD police cars, along the Belt Parkway, causing a series of collisions. With the assistance of an NYPD Special Ops helicopter, officers from the NYPD 61st Precinct, NYPD 60th Precinct and officers from MTA Police Department - the helicopter tracked the vehicle from above while units coordinated on the ground. The suspect was ultimately boxed in near the Knapp Street exit on the Belt Parkway and was taken into custody. With the assistance of an NYPD Special Ops helicopter, officers from the NYPD 61st Precinct, NYPD 60th Precinct and officers from MTA Police Department - the helicopter tracked the vehicle from above while units coordinated on the ground. The suspect was ultimately boxed in near the Knapp Street exit on the Belt Parkway and was taken into custody. The suspect, a 25-year-old from Newark, NJ was arrested and charged: • Criminal possession of a weapon (3 counts) • Assault (4 counts) • Reckless Endangerment (5 counts) • Unauthorized use of a vehicle • Unlawful fleeing a Police Officer • Reckless Driving violation • Improper plate violation • Traffic Device violation • Driving on the shoulder/slopes violation
