Today we celebrate the birthday of our freedom - our own, cherished and protected. A day when we feel pride in living in a free Estonia, speaking our language, and making our own choices. Yet on this same date, we also remember a different morning. Four years ago, Ukraine awoke to war. It is a painful reminder that freedom does not endure on its own. It must be defended. It must be protected. Freedom means the ability to believe in the future and to live without fear. Today, Ukraine is fighting for that very right. Estonia knows from its own history what it means to lose freedom and what it means to restore it. That is why 24 February is not only a day of celebration. It is also a responsibility. To stand by our country. To stand by one another. To stand for freedom. Long live Estonia! 💙🖤🤍

This includes the Ramstein meeting, discussions in Kyiv, and later, participation in the Munich Security Conference. It is crucial that we all work together to bring about real peace and effective security guarantees—the security of our people, our state, our economic relations, and, importantly, our resource resilience—not just for Ukraine, but for the entire free world. In civilian life, he is a historian and a school principal in Kyiv. ‼️Friends, please listen and share. "There is probably no one in the world who would like to see the war end and peace come as much as the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian military. But we don't dream of peace at any cost, because then these three years will be in vain. We are fighting here not only for our land. We are fighting not only for our families. We are fighting not only for our state. The most important thing for us is values. Values pushed us to fight the enemy. The values of freedom, the desire to live in our own country, the values of being human beings, not slaves.
