What I find especially interesting about the interviews you have been posting is the quality of the questions. You don't see that anywhere today.

The earnest intellectual engagement that comes across is arresting

You nailed it with this video. Two things that stood out to me: 1) At what point is growth enough? 2) In the context of these layoffs, what he said about being imprisoned by your work because you feel as a small part of the big machinery hits hard. It’s so relevant and timeless.

We create technology and assume we will find a use for it. Or that the means we create will impose an end upon us.

Love Fromm. I loved how he talked about how we're obsessed with consuming (the "having" mode) as opposed to being present (the "being" mode).

What a thoughtful conversation. The current trend of being self-employed will explode IMO. People are searching for meaningful work, which they can't find very often in current times/workplaces.

Many people are re-evaluating how willing they are to trade time for money.
