When you teach chess to beginners you give them simple tips like „don‘t put your knight on the Edge“ or „try to castle fast“ , later you understand that all these simple advice are lies.

Jewish hasbara in science. The question basically asks to explain the axiom, why is it true that "like charges repell and opposite charges attract"? He could have just said I don't know why but our experience tells us it is true. His big ego wouldn't let him say he doesn't know.

I was going to jokingly say, if an average 5 year old kid asked why magnets repel eachother, you could say "it's the magic of the universe". However, this validates the point he's making.

He knows what forces he thinks are in action but he doesn’t actually know why they repell. He spent about ten seconds rapidly concocting an off the cuff explanation which he then spent seven minutes explaining.
