In 1990, Phil Collins walked on stage looking like Tech Support, then delivered one of the greatest drum solos in live music history.

Phil is a great drummer but that is hardly the greatest drum solo in music history. You can't have attended many concerts where the music is actually played live. That's just a riff.

That iconic drum part is a riff, not a solo.

Goose bumps every time.

the white shirt and headset sit on the 1990 seriously live tour that followed the 1989 but seriously album

😃

I much prefer this performance from 2004 - much more tension, much more building up... Truly awesome.

Mediocre at best. Certainly NOT an all time great drum solo.

And what about that ? Keith Moon, North Hollywood, USA, 8 November 1974.

No frills. Just raw talent.

Great music. Although not the greatest drum solos in live music history.

Still I cant believe how his life shaped up..! Life really becomes cruel at times

The best drum solo is also the shortest one.

Love me some Phil Collins but drumming was the least of his skills. A high school senior could play this.

I always thought he was saying "hold on" instead of ?"Oh Lord".🤷♀️

Riff or fill....not a solo

Unfortunately, this moment was skipped on the video )

Man I bet that was immense live 👌

Best drum solo i have seen so far. And i'm a big Phil Collins Fan... 😁

Yeah, while great, not a drum solo.

@PaganoJacopo ogni volta ti penso

♥️🕊️Thank you, Respectfully Submitted

That band on stage was like an all-star game of music.

Sorry, I love Phil, but that is nowhere near "one of the greatest drum solos in live music history."

seeing him to do this without protecting his ears it's crazy, ik later it's something he would regret as what he got from it later; anyways, those drums are epic!! great musician

Thats not a drum solo. See John Bohnam
