We’re not Welsh but S4C is a brilliant channel both my friends 14 year old daughter Jas and me love this channel for its children’s programming, Sports coverage etc. So it doesn’t surprise me they were ahead

Thanks for this, hadn’t previously been aware of this media report. I still wonder why, after some really good, serious media investigation and reporting over the last 14 years, nothing much was done by govt agencies until the ITV drama made it impossible to ignore any longer?

I’m of the opinion that a good docudrama can have the effect of humanising and contextualising what could otherwise be perceived as a niche story about IT systems. Whereas in reality, it was a life-changing, decades-long scandal involving a State-facilitated cover-up.

Really interesting. I guess the Post Office could have sued Alan Bates for libel in 2009. Without whistle-blower evidence, they might have won. But they chose not to, b/c that would have drawn more attention to the issue. I guess that was what Mr Bates was hoping for. 👏Mr Bates!
