in 2020 Ananda Lewis shared that after being diagnosed with stage III breast cancer, she chose not to undergo the doctor-recommended mastectomy. in 2024 it advanced to stage IV. She later admitted regretting that decision and emphasized the importance of early detection 😔 RIP

My mom did everything chemo, radiation, mastectomy....she only made it three years. I say that to say it can get mad for anyone no matter what you do. Just do what's best for you.

She didn’t have a realistic view at what she is up against. When you are diagnosed with cancer, every decision you make must be centered on killing the cancer. My dad has had stage 4 colon cancer for 12 years now. You have to be aggressive and keep trying to get it all out

Praying for her son 😔

I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2021 at the age of 31… making the decision to go through 12 rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy and a bilateral mastectomy and hysterectomy was a hard decision I made for myself but I had to fight for my daughter 💕

this is why people need to believe in modern medical and not these alternative “natural ways” this is so sad

She said no to the mastectomy ? Wow…. And now she gone

Sorry she lost this battle, but she was in denial about the seriousness of her stage 3 diagnosis. I have a right to this opinion as a 13 year stage 2 breast cancer survivor who opted for a double mastectomy, chemo, and radiation.

This video makes me so angry. I don't like to speak ill of the dead but what the hell??? "I couldn't have surgery, I was homeschooling my son." And now your son has no mom. If you had let him go to school, he could develop friend groups that could carry him through losing you.

My sister passed one year ago today from breast cancer at age 62, her last mammogram was at age 40, she regretted not being proactive about her health, though she did go through with a double mastectomy two years is all she got. Black ladies get your mammogram. RIP Ananda! 💐🕊️

I had a clean mammogram shortly before I found a lump through self-exam. Mastectomy and reconstruction were no problem. That was 12 years ago. Don’t forget the self-exams!!!!!
