New: 15-Year-Old Charged as Adult in Fatal Uber Driver Carjacking Shooting Christian Simmons, 15, of Lilburn, was arrested Jan. 2, 2026, and charged as an adult with murder after allegedly shooting Uber driver Cesar Tejada in the back during a carjacking around 4 a.m. on Jan. 1. Simmons requested a ride from Rangewood Drive in Lilburn to Groveland Parkway in Lawrenceville. Ring camera captured Tejada’s black SUV, after which Simmons exited, shot him, left his body in the roadway, and stole the vehicle. Detectives used Flock cameras to track the SUV back to Simmons’ neighborhood; officers staked out his home and arrested him as he walked away.
