.Anthony Pompliano 🌪 is exactly right. while the scope of work of some jobs may suffer in the mid-term, entirely new categories of work are continuing to emerge. AI will ultimately create a lot more jobs than it displaces. and those displaced, in almost every case, will be evolutions of the same job.

Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana says R292.8 billion has been allocated to social grants for the 2026/27 financial year, allowing increases across several grants. The old age, disability and care dependecy grant will rise by R80 to R2,400, while the war veterans grant increases to R2,420. Foster care grants will increase to R1,290 in April and R1,300 in October. The child support grant and grant-in-aid grant go up by R20 to R580. As part of our effort to move the platform toward declarative code, new tables in the public schema will no longer be automatically exposed to the Data API in new Supabase projects starting May 30th. Instead, tables will need to be explicitly granted each permission to each role, either through the dashboard or via SQL. Explicit Postgres grants are reviewable, diffable, and greppable. They also give you per-role control: anon and authenticated need different privileges in most schemas, and an explicit grant makes that difference visible in your migrations. This was always possible; now it's the default.
