Seems super inefficient to use a humanoid form robot for farming.

No, this scene will not become a reality because there have long been technologically mature rice transplanting machines for inserting rice seedlings into the fields. Major Japanese agricultural machinery manufacturers have even introduced unmanned, self-propelled transplanters. At most, you would see a robot operating a transplanter, not a robot going down into the field to do this inefficient transplanting work."

Just because it can happen doesn't mean it will. Firstly humanoid form is not the optimum design. Secondly larger connected machines with human supervisor will be cheaper and more effective. Finally, fully automated warehouse for veggies will become the norm.

Why do the robots have to look like humans? Seems much more likely that the robot that will handle rice fields is built for that job specifically. As opposed to looking like a human, built to do 1000s or other things.
