In a perfect world this would be true!

No public money should be used to fund nonprofit organizations. Public money is for critical government services as defined in the Constitution. Nonprofit organizations need to stand on their own merit with fund raisers and donations, no public money.

When did it become US taxpayers’ responsibility to fund the world? I’m not interested in funding any Non-Governmental Organizations. It is taxed money, earned by labor. Each individual earner should decide the cause that receives it. It is not the government’s job to redistribute money on behalf of their own values, interests, and relationships. Transparency or not, the government should take an amount necessary for the government to provide adequate federal services, and emergency services. The citizens should retain their earnings, without government intrusion. I don’t want to have to do bookkeeping for NGO’s and I don’t want to pay the government to audit them. I wouldn’t trust any of their submitted financial reports at this point for the audit. If it isn’t a government agency, adhering to government policy, it doesn’t get taxpayer funds. Shut them down.
