@PeterBeinart @ADL This was a good interview. Beinart is starting to face the fact that Israeli and Palestinian safety isn't actually intertwined--that Israel can exterminate or ethnically cleanse Palestinians. Nice to see a liberal see that.

@PeterBeinart @ADL I would like to like Peter Beinart, but I find he often plays the role of Palestine supporter while quietly buying into a lot of hasbara. He has never admitted, for example, that Israel killed hundreds of Israelis on 10/7, or that there were no mass rapes by Hamas. Makes excuses.

On the antisemitism "task forces" established at the most prestigious universities in the US: "When they create anti-Semitism commissions to study anti-Semitism on campus, which are basically designed to keep politicians & donors & Jewish organizations happy, they can't hire their own Jewish faculty who study anti-Semitism to be on the anti-Semitism task force... ...because these people actually know too much about anti-Semitism ... and what really is and isn't anti-Semitism. Those people get left off the committee. So at the University of Pennsylvania the guy who was in charge of the anti-Semitism task force is the head of the dental school. Sure he's a lovely man right but he's a dentist I'm sorry. At UCLA, it's a guy who studies real estate finance. After October 7, seeing the way the world responded to the attack and the amount of Jew hatred that actually exists, kinda woke up my Jewish side, it made me reconnect fully. People don't realize how many Jews have reconnected with their Jewish identities since October 7. We were marrying non-jews at exceptional numbers, most Jews don't follow the Jewish religion.
