In a recent interview with Jim Daly, Ben Sasse answered several challenging questions about how to respond to suffering with both Christian faith and hope: "I don't want to be aggressive with the intellectualist rationalist side, but God tells us in Scripture everything we need to know for faith...

Whew. Thank you for sharing. I was not a huge fan of his political career, which is now (maybe always) irrelevant. He's being very generous with his time. Loving his neighbors. I'm trying to learn.

You know death is coming for you too, just like everyone else, right? Where’s your humility or even just basic human decency? Repent and turn to Jesus Christ and you too can find peace as Ben Sasse has.

God bless Ben Sasse and his family. I sure wish the Lord would take another and heal this dear man. I grieve for his wife and children. I pray Mr Sasse will find rest and peace as he journeys on. It’s so sad we lose the good ones.

@RichardGrenell All death can do to the believer is to usher him or her into the presence of Jesus. The best moment of a believer’s life is their last moment, because the next moment they will be in the presence of the King forever.

That is why Catholics keep the crucifix front and center. If you follow Christ, you MUST pick up your cross and follow Him. You will not escape the cross. Suffering is redemptive. By His cross we were saved. By our own crosses, we have a share in His redemptive mission.

My father died when I was 11. The hardest thing is to understand the pain of a child, as so well described here. It took years, but now I see that it gave me a life purpose: To be the person in the life of struggling athletes that I didn't have in mine. Full stop. I am grateful.

@RichardGrenell Praying for you @BenSasse and what a wonderful message of hope you give to all of us. Mother Angelica also taught me that suffering can have a purpose. Really good piece on the last 15 years of her life when she was confined to a bed due to illness

@MZHemingway He voted to impeach President Trump, called Trump a sleezebag & said Trump flirted w/ white supremacists. I found Sasse’s politics & comments despicable & told him while he was a senator. One day we will all stand before God’s judgement & have to show Him how we used our talents.

This is a biblical view of healing and suffering. The opposite of the “Word of Faith” dogma.

This man increases my zeal. I lift him up to the Savior. May the Lord richly bless him for reaching back to every soul that thirsts. 🎼The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures. 🎼Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail, and mortal life shall cease: I shall possess, within the veil,a life of joy and peace. 🎼He will my shield and portion be! 🤌🌿🤌🌹🕊️🙏

ZELENSKYY ON HIS CONVERSATION WITH ABRAMOVICH: Ceasefire is the biggest compromise from our side to your side. ZELENSKYY: Abramovich, so he came to Kyiv,bI think that he said: "I have message direct to you, and I want to get message, and take message from you, and to give it to Putin." But he said that it has to be silently, without any kind of, public messages. I said, "Look, it's your choice. Okay, for us it doesn't matter, public or un-public." But it's always with Russians such way. If they say something has to be between us, it's mean that tomorrow not only we will know about it. But it's not a secret. He came, and he wanted to give me the message that they want to to understand what we are ready to do. I said: "The question is not about us. You are fighting against us on our territory." And I said to him about Donbas, it was the key message. And I said: "No, we will not leave, and we will not go out from our territory. No, we will not give you a victory such way. And you will not get it." And we spoke about any kind of compromises. I said that all the compromises after ceasefire. Ceasefire is the biggest compromise from our side to your side. JOURNALIST: So is he a go-between now? Between you and Vladimir Putin, he's going back and forth? ZELENSKYY: I don't know. When he got message from me, he said he will go directly to Putin. I said: "Okay, I'm ready to meet, not in Moscow, not in Belarus, and not in Minsk," and it's understandable why. I said, "You can choose any time from tomorrow. You can choose any day, any format. We can choose with President Trump. I'm sure that he will be ready to come, and we can do it with Europeans. I'm sure that everybody want to help, or we can choose the way bilateral, just bilateral meeting."

“I don’t want to put any child through what I went through, and if aborting that child means that child will not go through that, then that is the moral thing to do.” This is really hard, and good on Lila Rose for being so compassionate. It’s obvious this woman is really hurt and angry. But the problem with her worldview is that we’re not God. We don’t get to determine whose life is worth living and whose isn’t. When you’re aborting your child, you’re making that decision FOR him, and he may not see the world the way you do. Frankly, he may be stronger and more resilient than you are. He may make something of himself that you failed to do on your own behalf, and regardless, he is an image bearer of God, with a life and purpose that you cannot understand even as his mother. For this woman to sit here and say abused and neglected children would be better off dead speaks to the spiritual sickness inside her and in our culture, and I don’t even think she actually believes it—because she’s still here. She hasn’t given up, and there’s a reason for that. She chooses to keep going, and that is good. It’s not for her to rob other humans of that same opportunity. “Woe to him who strives with him who formed him…Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’” Isaiah 45:9 There is a God. We are not Him. Life is hard for every single person. We have to accept the fact that we cannot know or understand everything. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring—especially if we voluntarily choose to rob ourselves of that tomorrow. And under no circumstances is it moral or compassionate to make that choice for someone else.

This video might be a little long, but I made it to capture the footsteps of Charlie Kirk’s recent visit to South Korea, and the steps of love shown to him by Korean patriots, for the Charlie we loved, for his family, for our ally the United States, and for the patriots of my own nation, Korea. I dedicate this video to everyone who loved Charlie Kirk. Charlie’s death will never be in vain. We will remember him forever, and we Koreans will also hold fast to his legacy, join in it, and carry it forward. Charlie’s fight is our fight, and we believe this is a spiritual battle in which God Himself is with us. As the words of Ephesians 6 declare: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” We will rise as God’s army, and we will move forward fearing nothing but God alone. This is the inheritance Charlie has left for us, and the blessing God has given us through him. Though we grieve now, we do not grieve as those without hope. We confess again that our hope is not in this world, but in the Kingdom of God alone. God bless you, Erika and Charlie’s family. God bless America and Korea, and all the patriots of both nations.
