In a shocking incident that has left the local community deeply disturbed, unidentified thieves broke into the revered Sai Baba Temple located in Sai Katta, Kodibagh, in Karwar city during the early hours of the morning. The miscreants forcefully broke the lock of the temple and looted several valuable... silver items, totaling more than 15 kilograms in weight. Among the stolen items were sacred belongings of Sai Baba, including a silver footstool, a crown, an umbrella, and various other silver utensils used in daily rituals and worship. The temple authorities and devotees were devastated upon discovering the theft early this morning. The incident has not only caused material loss but has also deeply hurt the religious sentiments of the devotees who regularly visit the temple to offer their prayers and seek blessings. Upon receiving information about the theft, officials from the Karwar City Police Station promptly arrived at the scene and began a detailed investigation. Forensic teams and dog squads were also deployed to gather evidence and trace any clues that could lead to the identification of the culprits. A formal case has been registered at the Karwar City Police Station, and further investigations are underway. The police have assured the public that they are taking the matter very seriously and are exploring all possible angles to nab the culprits at the earliest. In the disturbing visuals, a Maruti Suzuki XL6 bearing registration number KA03NN4501 can be seen speeding recklessly while a man is lying on the bonnet of the moving vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver was driving at a very high speed, endangering not only the man on the bonnet but also other commuters on the busy stretch. The man on the bonnet was seen shouting and pleading with the driver to stop the car, but the driver allegedly continued to accelerate without concern for human life.
