In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi warned that if the #US carries out President Donald Trump's threat against Iran’s critical infrastructure, then a wider regional crisis would be triggered, urging #Gulf countries to reconsider their support for the US. Marandi stated that "if the United States indeed carries out its threats against Iran, then I think that countries such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and the Emirates, and Oman increasingly will have to face the consequences." Stressing that #Iran does not seek war, he said, "Iran will not initiate war... But if Iran's critical infrastructure is targeted, Iran will swiftly destroy the critical infrastructure of these regimes." Marandi further warned that any US escalation could threaten energy assets, regional stability, and global markets, describing the current situation as "very dangerous times" and cautioning that a prolonged war could lead to "a global economic catastrophe that is unprecedented." In an interview for #AlMayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi warns that if #DonaldTrump targets Iran’s vital infrastructure, “those regimes that facilitate this attack… will be partners in crime,” stressing that without Gulf states, #Washington “could not have launched the war.” Professor Marandi said Iran will “definitely retaliate,” adding that failing to do so would invite further attacks, and that “this time #Iran is going to finish the job.” He said that Iran has focused on strategic targets, while the US and the Israeli regime have been bombing civilians. Professor Marandi explains that he has warned the people of the Gulf states to leave because Iran wants them protected, affirming that Iran has remained careful not to target people. In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi affirmed that Iranian diplomacy is currently active in response to US actions; however, the Iranian government will not be “lulled into thinking that the US will not attack.” He stressed that Iran is expecting an attack at any time and has been preparing for it since the ceasefire. Elaborating on Iran’s diplomatic efforts, Marandi explained that the country is operating on three levels: first, military preparedness; second, engagement in public diplomacy; and third, diplomacy aimed at lessening the impact of the siege. In an interview with Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi said he believes Iran intentionally delayed its response to the United States after Washington said that Tehran should respond quickly. He explained that when the US attempts to dictate timelines to Iran, Tehran will respond by showing that no one can tell the country what to do. Professor Marandi added that Iran’s delayed response was itself a message to Washington, "to tell Washington that we do not abide by your deadlines. We do not abide by your requirements. We work in accordance with our deadlines and our own requirements." Seyed Mohammad Marandi #AlMayadeen #IranWar #Iran #WestAsia #US

In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi said that in the recent exchange near the Strait of Hormuz, Iran holds the upper hand, pointing to how Emirati oil exports were halted. "So the United States, in any escalation, should expect an Iranian response that will probably outweigh what the United States does," he said. Professor Marandi added that in the "waiting game," there's no doubt that Iran will be able to "outwait the United States," noting that sovereignty and independence did not come at a small cost for the Iranian people in 1979. He stressed that Iran is prepared to wait “a very, very long time.” "So there's no doubt that at the end of the day, Iran will force a strategic defeat upon Trump. The only difference is that the harder he pushes and the longer this war lasts, the bigger the defeat will be for the United States," he said. Speaking to Al Mayadeen on Monday, Professor Mohammad Marandi said that when #Iran says it will not negotiate, “it does not negotiate.” He added that Iran has made it clear that if the United States carries out an attack on Iran, despite #Trump's previous threats being followed by retreats on several occasions, Tehran’s response would be “devastation", retaliation, and a decisive response. Professor Marandi stressed that regardless of future developments, Iran currently has no interest whatsoever in negotiating with the United States. Seyed Mohammad Marandi #IranWar #WarOnIran #USIran

In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi said that he believes that the trip of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's parliament speaker, to Doha, Qatar, was successful. He explained that there were two agendas, one of which was to ensure that if there were a US-Iran agreement, Iranian money "effectively stolen by the US government would be quickly returned to Iran." The second reason, according to Professor Marandi, is to pave the way for a new environment, a new condition for these countries to shift policy away from Washington. In an interview for #AlMayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi clarified that the #UnitedStates "is being utterly ignorant in its confrontation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of resistance." He explained that #Iran and the Axis of Resistance have not yet begun escalation and did not initiate the war, but have been trying to prevent the region from being destroyed. Gulf states in the region, Marandi says, miscalculated by underestimating the Axis of Resistance and overestimating the #US, and warned them that their only solution is to back down and force the United States to leave. #IranWar #WestAsia Seyed Mohammad Marandi

In an interview with Al Mayadeen on Wednesday, Professor Mohammad Marandi said that the United States has failed in the 39 days of warfare, as well as in siege warfare. He noted that if the US siege warfare were succeeding, Washington would not be carrying out acts of aggression against Iran, adding that such threats and aggression amount to an admission of failure. Pointing to Trump’s "erratic" behavior, Professor Marandi said he believes it is largely driven by pressure from the "Zionist lobby and Israeli regime," as well as Trump’s "huge ego." In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi explains that the US siege on Iranian ports was the result of the fact that #Iran said, "No, Lebanon was supposed to be a part of the ceasefire, and it has to be a part of the ceasefire." He added, "So there's no doubt that Iran will not end this conflict without the Israeli regime being forced to leave all of #Lebanon." In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi said that Iran and the US agreed upon terms that "were very appealing to Iran," explaining that the US accepted a regional end to the war, an end to the war on Lebanon, and to put off discussions about the nuclear program until the second stage. "So the only thing that is in this text that hasn't been agreed upon yet is Iran saying that it will not build a nuclear weapon, but that's what Iran has been saying for decades. So that's not something new for Iran," Professor Marandi said. He explained that the US wanted the Strait of Hormuz to return to normal, but Iran did not accept that, explaining that what Iran accepted "will return to normal is the number of ships that pass through," while it maintains control of the Strait. "It wants to show the international community that Netanyahu and Trump are creating this global misery," he said. Seyed Mohammad Marandi #Iran #Russia #Oman #Pakistan #DonaldTrump
