TMC and CPI(M) Opposing Durga Puja: • TMC and CPI(M) leaders are opposing Durga Puja at Allen Park. • They are saying that it may disturb communal harmony. • During Christmas, Allen Park is decorated with a Christmas theme. • So, TMC and CPI(M) seem to think that this park belongs to Christians. • A TMC leader is saying that Allen Park’s Christmas celebration is “our culture,” but Durga Puja is not.

VIDEO | Kolkata: TMC MLA Mohammad Kasem Siddique on Durga Puja row says, "Don't the people of West Bengal know what to do? Don't the people who perform puja here know? Haven't they read their own scriptures? He (Dhirendra Krishna Shastri) comes here and says such things, and everyone will listen to him. He is belittling Bengalis. Ever since he came here, look at the things he has been saying, repeatedly talking about Bengalis and belittling them. Why? He keeps making such statements. Tell us, during Durga Puja, who will eat what, where they will go, where they will visit and which park they will go to." (Full video available on PTI Videos -
