In Bacchae, Pentheus the King prefers human wisdom to divine madness. He's a conscientious and reasonable young man, won't risk foolishness and chooses order. ... Dionysos invokes himself and says: “Punish this man. But first distract his wits; bewilder him with madness!”

The media can say what they like about sex and gender, but human rights and equality stand firm. Businesses must have a valid reason to deny trans people access to services. Body parts? Not a valid reason. 💪 #TransRights #Equality #HumanRights #Inclusion #TransWomenAreWomen

The Pope and senior Vatican officials shared with our biparisan delegation a moral framework for AI. AI must respect human dignity and equality. Human agents must make decisions about life, and the technology should not lead to more exclusion and inequality.

My faith in Christ is evidence based. Faith is also essential in science. Einstein said he couldn't imagine a genuine scientist without faith -- for scientists must believe science can be done and believe that the human mind is capable of understanding nature (at least in part).

For those, like me, who believe in the rules-based order, the very least we must do is comply with international law. We can not sell arms to a country headed by a man who is wanted, by the world's highest court, for war crimes. We must choose accountability, not complicity.
