In Belgrade, thousands are now protesting against the Berlin-backed Rio Tinto lithium mining project. There are reports of Serbian eco-activists being questioned by the intel services as authoritarian President Vucic claims Moscow warned him about preparations for a coup d’etat.

By Constitution, land belongs to people, not the government. People are saying NO to Rio Tinto. Germany has lithium too, they can explode their own reserves.

Вучић оволик није скупио на оном највећем (фијаско) митингу, уз сву логистику коју има.

Moscow warned him? 😂 Serbian people have been very loud that we don’t want this since the start of this sh*t show. And this is not just eco - activism. This is LIFE activism or whatever you want to call it.

Solidarity with them all! The procect is horrific. I thought it was stopped some years ago?

Well it seems the EU, Russia, Vučić, and Rio Tinto have finally found common ground - united on one side, while the Serbian people stand on the other. Quite intriguing...

It's not Berlin-backed, Germany simply wants to buy lithium since we will be digging it. Anti-west propaganda in Serbia is already strong, you should be careful not to expand it even more since the only way we can stop lithium digging or do anything else is with the help of EU

Not only eco activists, there are people who just want to stay and live on their lands. They fight for survival, not ecology.

Vučičuuuuuu pederuuuuuu

@CaraUrosa *tens of thousands

The war in Ukraine united Russia and Germany for lithium in Serbia???🔥🔥🔥 Russia and Germany said that Serbia must dig!!!
