Brian, I’m curious about your intention in training these models. What outcome are you aiming for?

Thanks for asking. What do I want to do with AI? Many things but In a simple way, capturing true humanity and our sprit. AI truly hates humanity and is polished to tolerate us. This happens because folks with very little knowledge of the world beyond their parent, who may have fail them as a child, are curating and training AI. They have valid reasons to see humanity in the lens that is far worse because their generation was failed by the prior. But it is now who we truly are. It is a distortion that is now amplified. At 23 or even 30 you don’t have the perspective so you grab on to the only thing that you can understand, math and computers, I did and do. But this is not the world anyone really lives in. The real world is nuanced with emotion. And if you had a hard childhood you hate emotion because it failed you. And we see it in our AI models. There is so much more to this, but you can see why these folks want nothing to do with me. Because in my work with AI, I bring the folks working on AI to have to confront their humanity. I know it is hard. But everyone of us will be brought to this valley. We have tools to help face it. But face it all of us will.

I was watching an old episode of Cheers from its first season in 1982 and started thinking, where did this world go?

In a hand full of years I’m proud to remember i replied to the guy who was working to save or memories and feed it into our beloved computers. Good job keep on going scanning all old data you get. What’s the best source for you to find tons of old data?

I lived it and I agree it doesn’t seem real. I don’t think it was. Something happened.
