That’s awesome to hear! I thought so, but wasn’t entirely sure till hearing this. I too was raised going to church. Later, we found one that showed me what true Christianity meant. They never judged me, even when I was a teen and showed up high wearing metal band t-shirts.

God gives the Believer the Holy Spirit not to condemn but to correct. He still gives the Believer free will to make choices. The Spirit is there to guide but not control Believers’ actions.
