“The process” is over once he secures the ball in the end zone… that’s a TD you clowns. Can’t believe that’s a TD at every leave of football besides the freaking NFL

Learn your own rules. He took 3 steps making him a runner and eligible to fumble. Meaning it’s a TD because you can’t fumble in the endzone.

Incorrect. The player had possession of the ball in the end zone so the play is automatically over, TD.

Except per your own rule. “Movement of the ball not not mean lost of control” Can’t even follow own rules in place. That’s a catch everywhere and was called a catch on the field.

At the end of #PITvsDET, the ruling on the field was: A completed catch, a backwards lateral, and a touchdown by Detroit. There was a flag thrown for offensive pass interference. The clock was at 0:00 when the touchdown occurred and because the penalty was committed by the offense, the game is over and the touchdown does not count.

The ball contacting the ground does not unequivocally determine if a pass should be ruled complete or not. However, when loss of possession occurs as the ball contacts the ground, the ground is essentially aiding the receiver in the process of the catch. In #ALAvsUGA, I believe that the receiver did not maintain possession of the ball as it contacted the ground and would’ve liked to see this play reviewed.

To have a completed pass, the receiver must: 1.) Secure control of the ball ✅ 2.) Have both feet or a body part (other than hands) in-bounds ✅ 3.) Perform a football move (take a third step, tuck the ball away, turn upfield, avoid/ward off an opponent) or to maintain control of the ball long enough to do so❌ In #PITvsBAL, the third element was not met. The ball came loose prior to the receiver completing the third element.

This “catch” by NC state WR Terrell Anderson was thoroughly reviewed by an ACC officiating crew and upheld as a completed pass. Ball is all over the ground and moving. Anderson didn’t maintain control and complete the process of the catch. Pretty clear. Notre Dame got hosed.
