In defense of excellence.

great video, thanks!

Excellence is a pillar of a strong and thriving society. Another great video for keeps, thanks and keep them coming. Welcome to the Arena

Who is John Galt?

We desperately need your videos to get more views

I would much prefer living in a modest home surrounded by the homes of talented, ambitious, & wealthy people, than living in that same home surrounded by the impoverished, uninspired & artless.

"Gleich zu sein unter Gleichen, lässt sich nur schwer erreichen. Du müsstest so ganz ohne Verdrießen, wie der Schlechteste zu sein Dich entschließen" - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe -

Great take, but Nolan isn’t the best example

Great insight 👍✅

thank you for this video. nice work.

True. People want to cheer for the underdog, because the underdog gives them the feeling, they are not doing that bad. A person who is smart, cunning and ambitious and therefore successful makes the people nervous, because it reminds them of their own weaknesses.

@LinaSeiche perfectly summarised. Something I've been seeing in my day to day and at times it feels increasingly hard to defend excellence and my team who deliver it, expecially when we are surrounded everything and everyone which is oppose. Reversing the trend is exhausting.

"Not that this guy cares" 😆😆😆

😩

I liked the subtleness of your jab 😁 Rather disheartening at the same time. I enjoyed the video, great work as always 🫡 Have a great weekend 🌄

Love this. We are becoming a world where excellence doesn't seem necessary or desired. In the arts, it still has a place. But in business it is completely marginalised.

Excellent video 💖

Great explanation of why DEI politics is failing progress and human evolution.

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all. For man also knows not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them." ~ Ecclesiastes 9:11-12

Excellent post. 😉 Interesting that the sequential list of destructive factors you laid out is virtually identical to the unavoidable process of destruction that occurs when communism takes over countries.

Excellent Lina 🙂

I hope one day a German government puts the country on the road back to being Germany again. And I hope you’re a part of that - you’d be of great service to the nation state. 🇩🇪

You excel at making these videos 👏👏

In the battle between light and dark, "Excellence" is just another thing that can be malignantly "misunderstood". To those working for good, it is as you describe!

modern Ayn Rand

🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

another banger of a video ❤

Prestige is far from excellence. Enjoy your lazy men to do your works...

This is excellent.

Yes. In America we have a unique multiplier. Money has almost completely replaced value. In a consumer society "value" is a product - something acquired with money, rather than something produced. Ironically, acquisition of money usually comes at the cost of sacrificing value. Because centralization/ mass production/ scaling is necessarily the opposite of uniqueness. This is in addition to the problem as described. Solving that is only half the problem, the other half must be addressed as well.

Love your voice and how you pronounce the s.

Which makes Nietzsche's commentary on social justice and the pursuit of excellence very relevant these days again.

When excellence is measured in a monetary way, excellence turns into performance. Performers being mistaken for excellent people, is both a detriment to society and culture - among many... many other things.

Time to leave Germany...

In a world of mess, excellence is much needed, and shall be raised and protected.

Send this to the WNBA.
