The warning signs of a fragmenting #Ethiopia are becoming harder to ignore. The President of the Somali Region (Mustafe Mohammed Omer) is openly discussing about the breakup of the #Ethiopian state, admitting that he had prepared the Somali region to secede if the TPLF were to return to power. That admission speaks volumes about the state of Ethiopia under Abiy Ahmed. It depicts one ethnic region is unwilling to be governed by another, and where the prospect of TPLF leadership is seen as a trigger for the country's disintegration. In this video he clearly states that, as TPLF forces advanced toward Addis Ababa, his overriding concern was not to fight for his country, but breaking the Somali Region away from Ethiopia. The State Capture of Ethiopia by Oromo Fascists Abiy Ahmed Ali 🇪🇹 came to power 6 years ago with the promise of change, a promise to move #Ethiopia away from the ethnic politics that had deeply divided and polarized the nation since an ethnic based apartheid constitution was imposed on Ethiopians in 1995 by the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF). After 27 years of subjugation by a small ethno fascist Tigrayan elite that had dominated the Ethiopian economy, military and intelligence, the Ethiopian people were desperate to move away from ethnic politics and towards a more unifying pro Ethiopian politics. One of Abiy's first actions when he came to power was purging Tigrayans, who had an oversized representation within most institutions, from positions of power and replacing them with Oromos. He then went on to dissolve the EPRDF political party that TPLF had established when they first came to power, and replaced it with Prosperity Party, which he claimed was a pro Ethiopian party. While telling non-Oromo Ethiopians that he wants to move Ethiopia away from ethnic politics, he was telling his Oromo constituents in Afan Oromo that Prosperity Party was established for the interest of Oromo. In a speech he gave in Bale, Oromia 4 years ago, he is heard telling an Oromo crowd that "Prosperity Party was created so that our enemies (Amhara and Tigrayans) don’t get to sit down and make decisions on our country’s future. Those who say Oromo aren’t capable of building their own party to rule Ethiopia, or that Oromos shouldn’t rule Ethiopia are the ones insulting Prosperity Party." Today, almost every institution in Ethiopia is led by Oromo fascists, from the Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian army (Field Marshal Berhanu Jula), the Commander of the Ethiopian Air Force (Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa), the Head of the Federal Police (General Demelash GebreMichael), the Mayor of Addis Ababa (Adanech Abiebie) and many others. Even religious institutions aren't safe from Orommumma domination, where the chair of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, Grand Mufti Sheik Umer Iddris (Amhara), was replaced by Haji Ibrahim Tufa (Oromo). The attempt to form a government backed breakaway Oromo Orthodox Synod in February of this year was also part of this Orommumma project, but with major backlash and after many civilian deaths, Abiy backed out of this plan and instead forced the Ethiopian Orthodox Church to ordain government appointed ethnic-Oromo bishops. Today, after fighting a devastating two years civil war with TPLF that killed close to a million people and destroyed Tigray, parts of Amhara, and parts of Afar, Abiy and his Oromo fascist government have waged a full scale genocidal #WarOnAmhara as they see Amharas as the last obstacle to fully implement the Oromo domination of Ethiopia. Abiy's recent claim of Ethiopia needing ownership of the Red Sea is also part of the plan of bringing about Oromo domination. His speech below from 4 years ago will give you a clear idea that his plans of bringing about Oromo domination goes beyond Ethiopia's borders. Abiy's full speech: "Prosperity Party was created so that our enemies (Amhara and Tigrayans) don’t get to sit down and make decisions on our country’s future. Let alone those that are jumping around like a gazelle today (Amhara), we’ve eaten and kicked out Weyane (Tigrayans) that ate us for 27 years. In the video, we see #EstifanosAfwerki (also known as Bruno), the head of the EPLF northern front, speaking from behind enemy lines. He was a former member of the #EPLF Central Committee and is now the Ambassador of the State of Eritrea to #Japan. The clip illustrates how the EPLF treated Ethiopian prisoners of war by providing them with education and healthcare services. Throughout the struggle for #Eritrean independence, the EPLF captured over 130,000 #Ethiopianprisoners, including officers, pilots, and generals. Our message to those hateful Tigrayans who oppose reconciliation: Let's be clear. Eritrea did not commit genocide in Tigray. On the contrary, TPLF inflicted severe harm on Eritreans living in Ethiopia in 1998. They deported over 90 thousand wealthy Eritreans from all over Ethiopia inhumane way. For twenty years, they actively worked to undermine Eritrea's economy. The refugee camps established in Tigray were a political tactic, not a humanitarian effort, contributing to the tragic loss of Eritrean youth in the Mediterranean due to the TPLF's 'no peace, no war' stance. Following the 2018 peace agreement between Eritrea and Ethiopia, TPLF fired dozens of rockets at Asmara. TPLF is the one that owes Eritrea an apology. Eritrea's current openness to peace is not out of necessity to defeat Abiy Ahmed. Eritrea is capable of defending itself against any enemy. The reality is that Tigray needs Eritrea more than the reverse. For over four years, Abiy Ahmed has weaponized aid against Tigray, and Eritrea cannot stand by while the Tigrayan people suffer. This reconciliation is not up to the Tigrayan and Eritrean diaspora, but rather up to the people of Tigray and Eritrea who witnessed the war firsthand and need its end. Period!!

Today is the day the sun broke through a sky that had been dark for all of Africa and Black people! It is the day Ethiopia triumphed over invading forces who had encroached upon her borders and violated her sovereignty and her people's freedom on the mountains of Adwa. It is the day Ethiopia preserved civilization, which had remained unviolated for three thousand years. Our fore fathers and fore mothers deserve our utmost respect who through the sacrifice of their blood handed down to us an Ethiopia in which we live with pride, alongside a marvellous civilization, history, and great honour. We, the Ethiopians of today, must sustain the country our ancestors died to build by living in unity and love. Learning from them, we must say ‘No’ to poverty, division, and backward thinking, and transition Ethiopia toward prosperity. The time when Ethiopia becomes even greater than it has ever been, is not far off!

Ethiopia Could Become the Epicenter of a Larger Conflict While Ethiopia attempts to remain uninvolved in the Sudanese conflict, it has been arming itself and repeatedly asserting that access to the sea is an existential issue for the country. Ethiopian officials have stated that "3 million Eritreans cannot decide the fate of nearly 200 million Ethiopians." In recent months, tensions in the region have risen sharply, with separatist threats emerging inside Ethiopia and Eritrea providing direct support to the Sudanese government in its civil war. The reality is that Ethiopia has been significantly strengthening its air force. It currently operates many less capable aircrafts, but also 20 Su-27s and few Su-30s, and in the last month it has reportedly ordered 6 Su-35s. Eritrea today lacks the capacity to face a unified Ethiopia with a strong air force. However, Egypt has entered the equation by conducting military exercises and deepening cooperation with Eritrea and Somalia, two countries that are openly hostile to Ethiopia. Even with Egyptian support - without direct involvement- these two countries can’t beat an unified Ethiopia. But under this hot temperature, If Ethiopia were to launch an offensive against Eritrea, this might encourage already restive and armed regions within Ethiopia to seek independence, potentially repeating the Sudanese civil war into a broader catastrophe across the Horn of Africa.

In an interview on Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) few days ago, he discussed Ethiopia's unlawful claim to ownership of Red Sea coastal territory. In doing so, he bastardizes the history of the Horn of #Africa to accommodate Abiy Ahmed's Red-Sea fantasies and to destruct the poor #Ethiopian public. We constantly receive messages from PP supporters on social media telling us not to speak about Ethiopia and related matters. I would be more than happy not to mention Ethiopia if its covetous Ministers and Generals would stop mentioning #Eritrea. The relentless propaganda and toxic indoctrination aimed at persuading ordinary #Ethiopians that they are victims because of the Red Sea issue is becoming increasingly dangerous. If left unchecked, it could easily lead to conflict, destruction, and further destabilization of the region. In this clip, he appears to have little understanding of how modern nation-states are formed, particularly how sovereignty and borders were established in #Africa. He refers to the 4th-century Kingdom of Aksum and its use of the port of Adulis as justification for contemporary territorial claims. Someone needs to explain to this greedy Minister that if the borders of African states were to be determined according to the ancient kingdoms, then present-day Ethiopia would not be recognizable . Large parts of what is now Ethiopia—including #Oromo, #Somali, 'Southern people', #Afar, and #Benishangul-#Gumuz regions—would not be part of modern day Ethiopia. Even the #Amhara heartland was not fully part of the Aksumite Kingdom during much of its existence. So when he uses Aksumite Kingdom of the 4th century to justify his Red-Sea fantasies, which Ethiopia exactly is he referring to? The modern Ethiopian state did not exist in its current territorial form, and using ancient kingdoms as a basis for contemporary sovereignty claims raises even more difficult questions his small brain can answers.
