We have institutionalized apathy to the point where multi-crore scams, decades of judicial delays, and broken infrastructure are treated as a joke, while actual jokes are treated as a national crisis. When a society displays raging outrage over comedy but metes out mild irritation toward systemic institutional failure, its priorities are fundamentally broken!
