Mumbai Pune Expressway - A vehicle allegedly running with concealed number plates has raised serious concerns over traffic enforcement and public safety. The vehicle is accused of openly flouting traffic rules, with its hidden registration plates making it difficult to identify and potentially allowing it to evade accountability in cases such as hit-and-run incidents or other criminal activities. Despite having 55 pending traffic challans amounting to more than ₹1 lakh, the vehicle has reportedly continued to operate on the roads. The pending offences include dangerous driving, overspeeding and illegal number plates, among other violations. The case has also raised questions over the effectiveness of traffic enforcement, with concerns that repeated violations have gone unchecked despite the vehicle's extensive record. The authorities are now facing criticism over why the vehicle has not been seized despite the large number of pending challans and repeated alleged violations.

New Number plate system launched for Gauteng!! Very exciting development, this is not just number plates but a well thought out security and road safety system that will turn things around for Gauteng and its motorists. The red plates for government safety vehicles. That what we were launching today. Next will be for general public and we will retain the same colour plates. This innovative system ensures all key vehicle details — make, colour, VIN number, registration number, driver’s licence, and licence disk are perfectly aligned for enhanced transparency and accountability. ⚠️ Important Notice: These plates are tamper-proof. Removing or attempting to remove them is a criminal offense and will be treated as such.

This is getting ridiculous. These guys are just casually driving around West Drayton (UB7) with a tow truck and lifting cars in broad daylight. They are using fake number plates on the truck to avoid being traced.
