Dear Cat Castle Clowder. The decision is made. Whilst Meggy was snuggled between us and not purring loudly as she always does, we knew it was time. We called the vet and unfortunately they don’t have the option to come to us today due to their busy schedule. We are booked in at 4pm and will bring our baby girl home for the others to say goodbye before our final goodbye at the cremation tomorrow. There are simply not enough words to say thank you. Thanks to your support, Meggy got to have and survive the surgery that gave us 2+ extra months. We have been surrounded by your outpouring of love these past few months. We will continue to spoil her today and as you can see, she’s tucking into some butter.

The recent unprecedented weather event in the UAE and the operational disruptions it caused at #DXB have been a great challenge for us all, but it has been the most challenging for our guests who’ve had to spend much longer than they expected at our terminals. To bring some comfort to them during this time, our team of ground staff and volunteers has worked tirelessly around the clock to deliver more than 73,000 packs of snacks and water. We understand the frustration and distress that the past few days have caused many travellers, and we thank you all for your patience and understanding as our operations recover. We discussed with Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation, Maxime PREVOT, practically all areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Belgium significantly helped us at the time in strengthening our combat aviation, and we appreciate its readiness to continue supporting us. I hope that we will be able to implement what we discussed, and that there will be greater protection against Russian strikes. Ukraine is also ready to share our experience and expertise and support partners who have stood with us since the beginning of the war. Our teams are now working on the text of the Drone Deal, and we discussed potential dates for signing it. I thank the Government and people of Belgium for more than €1.1 billion in support already allocated this year, for backing our path toward EU membership, and for their full solidarity with Ukraine.
