As part of the Renewed Hope Cutting Resurgence Initiative of our indefatigable President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, we are proud to share a transformational development that will soon take place in our dear State. In the next 60 days, we will be privileged to host Mr. President here in Ogun State for the groundbreaking ceremony of what will become the largest cotton processing plant in the world, to be sited in Ogun State. This landmark project, a Public-Private Partnership, is designed to process 100 tons of cotton per hour, translating to over 1,000 tons per workday. From raw cotton to finished garments, this facility is projected to produce over 4 million garments daily. This $2.5 billion investment will directly employ 250,000 Nigerians and create countless indirect jobs across the cotton farming value chain through off-take agreements already signed with farmers in Ogun State and across the country.
