This every game that has long term champ/hero adds. Then the original ones slowly get reworked one by one to have better kits to keep up with advanced new adds

Knowing the Marvel Rivals community, if the dev rework simple characters and make them more complex, they will complain that the game now has no characters for beginners and people with poor aim.

That’s how it should be. Easy characters for newbs. Complicated characters for vets. This is what Overwatch abandoned. They dumbed everything down and Overbuffed the Easy characters………like…….communists…..um….. anyways. It makes the game better. Heroes to grow into.

Obviously this is a lighthearted joke, but that being said, its okay for games to have some easy to use characters. It happens with every hero shooter and fighting game, where launch roster is "boring" in comparison to new heroes. Im sure theyll slowly tweak kits like theyve done

I can't wait for the day they add Taskmaster and he plays like a dozen characters in one.

I would have understand if the hero is someone who has a wide range of powers (Dr. Strange, Jean, Storm, Wanda even Magik) but a cat identifying woman? really?

Lets not act like ALL heros are created equal. Some heros can talk to squirrels, others can wipe out galaxies with the flick of a finger. They had to make cat more dynamic because her base kit would be boring, and in the comics she does often steal things and use their power to her advantage. In my book its a W.

OMG, that's exactly what I was commenting on in some posts. Each new character does what all the others did, only better, a fucking power creep. The final hero in this game will have a skill for every key on the keyboard.

This can also be applied to Hearthstone cards. I remember when Doctor Boom was controversial because he had huge powercreep compared to other cards.

Its funny how this always happens to competitive games, seen this time and time again. From League, to OW, Marvel rivals, cant wait see whats the next game to get heavy power creep within 2 years (give or take)

Gambit was the first character that I just have no idea what their kit does 😮‍💨

Man a lot characters need re works cause the power creep is going crazy no amount buffs and nerfs changing that to their kit

Black Cat has to pick and choose exactly which abilities she has to purchase for a one-time use. That's a pretty big balancer right there.
