Yesterday, Captain Ibrahim Traore handed over a batch of equipment to the Faso Mêbo Presidential Initiative and the Military Engineering Corps. This heavy equipment is intended to strengthen road construction efforts for development. Here is what he said, “Once again, on behalf of the people, I am handing over this equipment to you. There are two distinct lots. One will be used for paving roads... and the other for earthworks. With the Military Engineering Corps, you will see, both on your construction sites and on the construction sites of our defense forces, that you move very quickly in the realization of infrastructure, for the benefit of our fighting forces and our populations.” He thus ordered them to accelerate paving the roads through the handover of this new batch of equipment comprising more than 200 machines. In addition to bulldozers, loaders, excavators, drills, and air compressors, the equipment handed over includes sweepers, asphalt transport tankers, pavers, graders, and compactors, which are used in the paving phase.
