Since I'm working on a Topdown/Isometric Adventure-like game for The Sandbox Studio's #Gamejam - I also needed to fix some issues where when we would walk behind trees, terrain or models, we coudl still see our main character. Saw this today and it honestly broke me a little. This man was sitting on the curb with a small food container, clearly not much. Right next to him was his dog, wrapped in a little blanket, lying on a makeshift bed. The guy opens his meal, takes a few bites… and then without even thinking twice, he feeds his dog from the same box. You could tell it wasn’t just “a pet.” That dog was family. They looked at each other with that kind of trust that you can’t fake. It’s crazy how people with the least often give the most. No phone out for attention, no crowd watching, just a quiet moment between two souls surviving together. I don’t know their story, but I know love when I see it. And this right here, this is love.

They just launched SL2T (Sign Language to Text), an AI model that translates sign language directly into text. Most spoken language dictation tools rely on audio to text, but sign languages have their own grammars and involve complex 3D movements. Instead of using raw camera feeds or physical gloves, SL2T tracks body landmark coordinates locally with MediaPipe Holistic and translates those spatial points into text. It’s powering sign to text dictation on Pixel 11 in Gboard and Live Transcribe, starting with ASL. Users can sign naturally to search, draft messages, or respond in live conversations instead of typing everything out. This is seriously awesome.

This family received a Life 360 emergency alert that their 20 y/o daughter/sister had been in a wreck. That’s her 19 year old brother sprinting out of the house, turning his car around on the lawn to get to her as quick as possible. The mother stayed behind with her two younger children. He didn’t even have shoes on. 🥹 The daughter/sister was okay. ❤️ Everyone talks about the bond between big brothers and their little sisters. But, the bond between big sisters and their litter brothers is truly just as special. Can confirm that a little brother will drop everything to help his big sis in an emergency. The way he’s running to his car to get to her as quickly as he can, he didn’t feel like he could get in that car and get it started fast enough I’m sure.
