Here is my unsolicited opinion on Caitlin Clark and the whole “de-escalation committee.” Caitlin Clark behaves and exists like a white teenage boy, including using the privileges that come with being one. It may be all giggles among the teammates for now, but getting your mostly black teammates to babysit you and finding it funny, especially when they start getting techs themselves as a result of your actions, has a really bad ring to it. She is surely cool about being de-escalated, but had things to say about being fouled. She sees players being destroyed in her name and doesn’t do anything about it. That’s what makes it impossible to appreciate Caitlin Clark beyond her basketball. Especially when you have players who are much more poised than her being called the most horrible things.

Chesnyy has really obedient zoomies. She LOVES to do obedience games. Even after she gets a treat toss she races back to front position to play some more. Part of this is her genetics. She comes from working dogs. Part of it is that instead of growing up constantly being told no and what not to do, she grew up being taught what to do. it kinda annoys me that they wrote el as mostly disinterested in this scene (and kinda like she follows mike's lead). i think it would have been more fun if el showed interest in what dustin was showing them even if she didn't fully understand it or even if it ended up not being something that interests her because even a few years in out of the lab, so many things are new to her and you'd think her character would be naturally curious. imagine if they let show interest and ask dustin questions about it. imo it'd be cute idk

I love that the problem everyone has with the tush push this week, has absolutely nothing to do with the actually pushing portion. Like banning the tush push doesn’t even stop what they have an issue with from the play this last week. The Eagles still could have done exactly what they did last week with it being a regular QB sneak. Officials being more stringent on players aligning in the neutral zone and false starts is the only way to stop what everyone has an issue with. And I get it, there were at last a couple from the game that were too early, and should be called false starts. It is an extremely hard thing to officiate, and good players on both sides of the ball jump the snap and use the neutral zone to their advantage on multiple downs and plays throughout the game. Getting rid of the tush push will not stop the issue everyone is riled up about.

She’s established early in the film as a practical, emotionally mature adult trying to put together a small family. And those are her values. They are family values. That would protect her child, and no instinct is more profound or powerful than the maternal instinct she has right there.
