My hands are trembling as I write this! Yogesh was alive until yesterday BUT TODAY HE'S DEAD WHILE BEING IN CUSTODY OF THOSE WHO ARE SUPPOSEDLY ARE PROTECTORS!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC CASE OF DEATH INSIDE POLICE CUSTODY THAT TOO ILLEGAL !!! My team spoke to Jeetender, brother of Yogesh. Here's what he said : Yogesh was picked up by POLICE COMMISSIONERATE GAUTAM BUDDH NAGAR last night over a complaint by women who were his co-workers at a Bakery. He & his colleague had a fight with these women about a month back. Last night, these 2 women were sitting in the chowki & in front of the police, they told Jeetender that they will get his brother killed Police kept threatening them of an FIR under IPC 376, charges of Rape lest he pays 5 Lacs Jeetender kept pleading that he doesn't have that kind of money but it didn't matter to the cops Eventually he was allowed to meet his brother after paying 53,000 to the cops after which he left In morning he kept sitting from 6am to 10am but wasn't allowed to meet Yogesh In the afternoon, Yogesh's dead body was taken out in front of him from chowki & taken to a hospital which he didn't even know about He was told later "mar Gaya Tera Bhai le ja" by a cop PLEASE KNOW THAT NO FIR WAS FILED FOR WHICH THEY ARRESTED YOGESH I beg to ask you Yogi Adityanath Yogi Adityanath Office who is responsible for this death and what action will be taken against these women and the cops ? RAPIST on the loose, POLICE have done NOTHING to reassure the women of GRIMSBY PINK LADY'S FLASH PROTEST! just over a week ago a woman was raped outside of a pub in the he town centre at 5am Since then the police have done nothing to reassure the public women of this town are now petrified walking to work in the morning I've been contacted by countless women that have asked for safety devices and thanked us for trying to raise awareness and get the police to do more Cafes,hotels, bars,travel agents, that have got in touch have all been supplied with personal safety alarms over 50 given out to workers in the town centre today and many more to the public that attended or was passing through town today, I've hand delivered many to people's homes and still have many more to deliver, that is all thanks to you for supporting me and purchasing these emergency safety devices 💙 A week has passed and the public are now closer to knowing any details of the alleged rapist so patrols in the town centre will continue until police put on extra patrols and reclaim the streets to make the women of this town feel safe Thank you to everyone that supports me the full length 40 minute video is up on YouTube, the link is in the comments 👇🏻

Britain colonized Nigeria after the transatlantic slave trade became more of a burden than a source of profit. The empire’s focus shifted from human trafficking to extracting raw materials for British industry and imposing a captive market for manufactured goods, ensuring capital accumulation and profit. Infrastructure, especially railways, was not built for the people but to transport raw materials from the interior to the ports for export. These trains needed fuel. The British Imperial Institute conducted mineral surveys in Northern and Southern Nigeria in 1903 and 1904 to identify exploitable natural resources beyond existing agricultural products. They discovered vast coal deposits in Onitsha Province, present-day Enugu State. At the turn of the twentieth century, coal was to capitalism what oil is today it powered industry, railways, and maritime transport. Local coal exploitation in Britain had already fueled its industrial revolution. In 1915 and 1917, the colonial administration acquired land from Ngwo community chiefs “without charge” and began production immediately: 7,000 tons in 1915, 24,000 tons in 1916, and quadrupling the following year. By 1929, annual output had reached 364,000 tons, most of it used to power railways. But coal extraction required human labor, and the colonial regime initially relied on forced labor, conscripting prisoners and poor peasants. Many farmers resisted leaving their lands to work in mines without prior experience. Local warrant chiefs collaborated with the colonial authorities, extorting bribes from those trying to avoid conscription, while the colonial police protected these corrupt collaborators much like today’s authorities protect entrenched elites against the masses. As labor demand grew, the colonialists turned to wage labor, recruiting workers from other regions, who primarily worked underground digging coal, while non-local recruits filled clerical and technical roles a deliberate strategy to prevent workers’ unity. The Great Depression of 1929 halted coal expansion. Demand fell, and by 1934 production dropped to 120,000 tons. Wages were cut, forcing workers to bear the brunt of this global capitalist crisis. With only one union in Nigeria by 1930bthe Nigeria Civil Service Union, formed in 1912 workers began organizing. Over the next decade, at least a dozen new unions emerged, including among coal miners, who protested wage cuts and poor conditions. By the late 1930s, coal production recovered, but wages did not. Workers launched a dispute in 1937 to restore pre-1931 salaries and won. In response, management created ethnically divided advisory councils, but these failed to contain workers’ growing solidarity. In the 1940s, coal miners formed unions, including the Enugu Workers Trade Union in 1940 and the Enugu Colliery Surface Improvement Union in 1941. These merged in 1944 to form the Colliery Workers Union (CWU), led by Isaiah Okwudili Ojiyi, a former teacher respected for his knowledge of labor law and his deep ties to the rank-and-file a key lesson: genuine union leadership must emerge from the workforce itself. The CWU demanded better wages and working conditions. Management initially refused to negotiate, leading to dismissals, the hiring of replacement workers, and the banning of the union, while reintroducing ethnic councils. The union continued underground, raising worker consciousness. Its legitimacy came from the workers, not government recognition. After World War II, workers’ anger grew as living conditions worsened. They demanded a Cost-of-Living Allowance (COLA), sparking Nigeria’s first General Strike from June to August 1945. CWU activists coordinated local actions, strengthening worker confidence. Workers rejected ethnic councils and pushed management to recognize the union, eventually winning wage arrears and restored allowances after further go-slow strikes in 1947 and 1948.

Exclusive Investigation: Egyptian Extortion Crew Targeting Immigrant Workers Across NYC After speaking with multiple vendors, witnesses, and sources familiar with the situation, a deeply troubling pattern has emerged involving an Egyptian extortion crew operating across New York City. According to victims, the group has been targeting hardworking immigrant workers, using threats, manipulation, and legal loopholes to maintain control and demand payments. This has been happening for a while, and victims say the pattern keeps repeating. Police sources tell me there are always issues with these vendors and their associates trying to take over territory, and they confirm that this has been happening for years. Sources describe the same individual resurfacing during busy seasons, often arriving with different associates and approaching workers directly. Victims say he demands money in exchange for “leaving them alone,” but even after paying, he repeatedly returns for more. One victim explained, “He wants money. He wants to take over our territory. We’re scared and we just want to work.” Just yesterday, sources reported that the same suspect targeted another vendor in the Steinway area of Queens, matching the pattern seen in other parts of the city. What makes this situation even more alarming is the level of manipulation victims say they are dealing with. According to multiple independent accounts, the suspect sometimes uses women to entrap or manipulate hardworking vendors, has allegedly forged paperwork and created false claims to frame innocent workers, and has even allegedly cut himself to falsely accuse victims of attacking him. He has filed orders of protection against innocent immigrant workers, then shows up at their locations to weaponize those orders. Victims also report that he pays a shady lawyer to manipulate laws and teach them loopholes, giving him tools to exploit the system while keeping himself protected. Individuals familiar with the suspect’s background claim this behavior is not new. According to them, he has a history in Egypt of allegedly paying off officials to target rivals. Almost every victim expressed the same concern: they are frightened, exhausted, and simply trying to make a living. Many of them are immigrants who do not speak English well and feel vulnerable to being manipulated by someone who knows how to exploit the system. “We’re just trying to work and take care of our families,” one vendor said. Another added, “We came here to have a better life. We didn’t expect the same people from back home, here in America, causing us the same problems.” Sources say vendors have been begging for help, but they feel like their concerns have gone unanswered. Meanwhile, the suspect continues showing up and making new demands. Based on all the accounts gathered, this is not a single dispute or isolated case. This appears to be a repeated pattern across multiple areas of New York City — one that grows more concerning each time the suspect resurfaces. Sources describe the same individual resurfacing during busy seasons, often arriving with different associates and approaching workers directly. Victims say he demands money in exchange for “leaving them alone,” but even after paying, he repeatedly returns for more. One victim explained, “He wants money. He wants to take over our territory. We’re scared and we just want to work.” Just yesterday, sources reported that the same suspect targeted another vendor in the Steinway area of Queens, matching the pattern seen in other parts of the city. What makes this situation even more alarming is the level of manipulation victims say they are dealing with. According to multiple independent accounts, the suspect sometimes uses women to entrap or manipulate hardworking vendors, has allegedly forged paperwork and created false claims to frame innocent workers, and has even allegedly cut himself to falsely accuse victims of attacking him. He has filed orders of protection against innocent immigrant workers, then shows up at their locations to weaponize those orders. Victims also report that he pays a shady lawyer to manipulate laws and teach them loopholes, giving him tools to exploit the system while keeping himself protected. Individuals familiar with the suspect’s background claim this behavior is not new. According to them, he has a history in Egypt of allegedly paying off officials to target rivals. Almost every victim expressed the same concern: they are frightened, exhausted, and simply trying to make a living. Many of them are immigrants who do not speak English well and feel vulnerable to being manipulated by someone who knows how to exploit the system. “We’re just trying to work and take care of our families,” one vendor said. Another added, “We came here to have a better life. We didn’t expect the same people from back home, here in America, causing us the same problems.” Sources say vendors have been begging for help, but they feel like their concerns have gone unanswered. Take a look at what happened just yesterday when families, children and participants at the UJA Walk with Israel, became the direct target of vile antisemitic hatred. Peaceful participants were met with cheers for Hamas and the glorification of terror, a masked mob of hate finding their way through a field behind the JCC building to terrorize families, openly threatening their lives, gleefully calling for the death of Jews, giving a $ “award” to anyone who can identify Jews marching in the walk, having children hold up signs with swastikas…the list goes on. While I would normally not allow any space for their vile bigotry on my platform, it is important to highlight the dark and twisted reality of what we are fighting against and who we are fighting for. Allies, please step up. This fight cannot and must not rest on the Jewish community alone. Immense gratitude to our police services who took swift action but this cannot become the norm in our country. The fact that such a heavy police presence was needed should be a stark reminder that by appeasing antisemitism and emboldening hate for 8 months, Canada has failed our Jewish community. A Christian man from the U.S. named Aaron Hutchings traveled to Pakistan to free a family from 140 years in slavery, paying around $4000 for their freedom. The family had remained trapped in bonded labour for generations in Pakistan’s brick kiln industry after an ancestor took a loan in the 1880s. Multi-generational bondage persists in Pakistan despite having been banned in 1992. The system revolves around “peshgi” (advance payments or loans) given by kiln owners to workers, often for emergencies, weddings or illness. Wages are extremely low and owners add high interest, arbitrary fines and manipulated accounts. This makes repayment nearly impossible. Debts are treated as family obligations and passed to children and grandchildren. Children often start working as young as 4-5 to help “repay the debt.” Estimates suggest hundreds of thousands are enslaved in Pakistan’s 20,000+ brick kilns. Pakistan outlawed bonded labour in 1992, but enforcement is extremely weak due to corruption and political influence of kiln owners. Families can’t just pack up and leave without facing severe risks. The system relies on coercion beyond the debt itself. Kiln owners or their jamadars (middlemen) often use armed guards, physical violence, or threats against the worker and remaining family. Family members left behind can be held as hostages. The police frequently collude with owners and escapees may be arrested on false charges, beaten or forcibly returned to the kiln. Workers often lack documents, education, alternative skills or safe places to go. Women and young girls face heightened risks of sexual abuse or forced marriage as “repayment.” Few in Pakistan care about these families. It often takes for Europeans and Americans to come over to help buy families out from slavery. 7 years back on December 18, Genpact employee & Assistant Vice President Swaroop Raj ended his life in Noida. He h@nged himself in his Noida apartment after two of his junior female colleagues filed sexual harassment complaints against him and the company’s internal complaints committee temporarily suspended him. In a suicide note addressed to his wife, who worked in the same company, Raj claimed he was innocent but did not have the courage to face anyone. In the note addressing his wife Kriti Srivastav, he said: “Today I want to let you know how much I love you. I have an allegation by two of the employees on sexual harassment and trust me I did not do anything. I know the world will understand it but you and our families should trust me. The allegations are baseless. But the entire Genpact will know about it, hence I do not have the courage to face anyone. I want you to be strong and live life with whole respect as your husband has not done anything... I am going as everyone will look at me with that eye even if I come clean.” On December 22, on the basis of this suicide note and a complaint by Raj’s wife, the Greater Noida police filed a First Information Report charging Genpact and seven of its employees with abetment of suicide. Among the seven were the two women who made the sexual harassment complaints. However, no legal action as such was taken against the accused and Swaroops' family still seeks justice. There are many such cases where women have misused the POSH ACT for their own benefits. We reviewed progress on several fronts today which are Technology-driven policing, to maximise use of HD CCTV surveillance, Integrated Command & Control Centres in all commissionerates , Intelligent Traffic Management Systems, AI and smart monitoring for stronger crime prevention and faster emergency response. 12 Mobile She Toilets are already functional across the city We decided to have 12 more so that each of 12 zones in the 3 municipal corporations have two each . 2,306 cameras operational under Phase-I, with 862 more underway in Phase-II. Instructed all cameras be kept fully functional at all times. Pelican Signals (Pedestrian signals) to be active now at 77 locations which will be attempted to be utilised by using traffic volunteers to help pedestrians cross over . GHMC will maintain all the 404 traffic signals and improve pedestrian infrastructure in congestion-prone areas. For public awareness, directed continued use of our mobile campaign vehicles to educate citizens on safety, traffic rules, cybercrime and anti-drug initiatives. The incident was captured on surveillance. Police say the man tried to steal several vehicles by force yesterday afternoon, before trying this one near Highway 66 and Dairy Road. A majority of the family members were inside the car when a carjacker tried to steal it. The carjacker was shot and killed by the father during a struggle captured on video. Surveillance video shows a man attacking and trying to carjack a family of eight in Garland on Sunday afternoon, before the father shoots and kills him. Tatiana Starks manages Garland Smoke and Vape in a shopping center near the incident. "You could definitely tell that he was not in his right state of mind," said Starks. "I’m just glad that the man was able to protect himself and his family." Garland Police Department says the carjacker initially crashed into two other vehicles. "While we were responding to the scene, we received more information that the driver of that car had exited and immediately began physically trying to get into other vehicles in the parking lot," said Lt. Pedro Barineau. Starks says she saw the man breaking into several vehicles at a gas station, so she took cell phone footage. "He like tried to get into several different cars," she said. She stopped recording as the man began walking across the street toward her. "He ended up going into their car." The family of eight was unaware of what was happening, and what was about to happen. Video shows the carjacker in the peach shirt, confronting the father in the white shirt. The father struggles as the carjacker is trying to drive off with the family’s car with family members still inside. After nearly a minute of struggle, the carjacker, who’s in the driver’s seat, is shot by the father while he stands outside the car and near the passenger side door. Police do not expect to file charges against the father. "It seemed to be self-defense," said Lt. Barineau. "It kind of all happened like really fast." Starks is grateful to be talking about a story in which no victims were hurt. "It’s just a blessing that the kids and the family walked away with no injuries," she said. Garland police say they are still working to identify the suspect. More than 1,200 people in London have taken part in one of the largest acts of mass civil disobedience in British history, to protest the Palestine Action ban. At 1pm on Saturday, hundreds of protesters, many of them elderly, sat down in Parliament Square and wrote “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine action” on cardboard signs. Among those taking part was Reverend Sue Parfitt, an 83-year-old priest, who was arrested at the first-ever protest against proscription on 5 July, the day it came into effect. The action, organised by Defend Our Juries (DOJ), was designed to pose an “unprecedented simultaneous challenge to all three legal systems within the UK’s constitutional framework”. In a statement released before the protest, the Met police claimed the force had the “officer numbers, custody capacity and all other resources” necessary to arrest everyone. It was forced to backtrack on similar claims last month, speaking of the “entirely unrealistic” challenges it faced in enforcing the Palestine Action ban. On 9 August, 532 people were arrested for holding placards in Parliament Square, in what was at the time the largest mass arrest event in London since 1961 - but it took the police hours, and many hundreds more protesters were able to leave, despite having broken the law. Half of those arrested were over 60 - one was a blind man in a wheelchair. Police dealt with the huge number of arrests last time by processing them nearby in Westminster and granting most arrestees “street bail” - meaning they were released immediately and didn’t need to be transferred to a police station. This time, DOJ told participants to decline street bail, in a bid to push police resources past their limit. Key DOJ spokespeople who had been arrested and charged in dawn raids earlier this week broke their bail conditions to protest, as did many others who had been arrested at earlier protests, causing confusion for officers on the ground. The government’s controversial decision to proscribe Palestine Action makes it the first non-violent organisation ever to be banned under the Terrorism Act. The ban could be overturned in November, when it will go to the high court for judicial review.

More than 1,200 people in London have taken part in one of the largest acts of mass civil disobedience in British history, to protest the Palestine Action ban. At 1pm on Saturday, hundreds of protesters, many of them elderly, sat down in Parliament Square and wrote “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine action” on cardboard signs. Among those taking part was Reverend Sue Parfitt, an 83-year-old priest, who was arrested at the first-ever protest against proscription on 5 July, the day it came into effect. The action, organised by Defend Our Juries (DOJ), was designed to pose an “unprecedented simultaneous challenge to all three legal systems within the UK’s constitutional framework”. In a statement released before the protest, the Met police claimed the force had the “officer numbers, custody capacity and all other resources” necessary to arrest everyone. It was forced to backtrack on similar claims last month, speaking of the “entirely unrealistic” challenges it faced in enforcing the Palestine Action ban. On 9 August, 532 people were arrested for holding placards in Parliament Square, in what was at the time the largest mass arrest event in London since 1961 - but it took the police hours, and many hundreds more protesters were able to leave, despite having broken the law. Half of those arrested were over 60 - one was a blind man in a wheelchair. Police dealt with the huge number of arrests last time by processing them nearby in Westminster and granting most arrestees “street bail” - meaning they were released immediately and didn’t need to be transferred to a police station. This time, DOJ told participants to decline street bail, in a bid to push police resources past their limit. Key DOJ spokespeople who had been arrested and charged in dawn raids earlier this week broke their bail conditions to protest, as did many others who had been arrested at earlier protests, causing confusion for officers on the ground. The government’s controversial decision to proscribe Palestine Action makes it the first non-violent organisation ever to be banned under the Terrorism Act. The ban could be overturned in November, when it will go to the high court for judicial review.

There were clashes. There was even a suspicious power cut mid-protest. But the youth kept marching. They’ve seen this movie beforem, in 2013, 2020, and now again in 2025. This time, the stakes are higher. Bulgaria’s future in the eurozone, its democratic foundations, and whether an entire generation chooses to stay or leave, all hang in the balance.
