I’m proud to work with President Donald J. Trump and my Republican colleagues on making life more affordable for South Carolinians. In the new year, people will have more money in their wallets thanks to the passage of the Big Beautiful Bill. There’s more work to be done to make health care better serve Americans and rein in government spending. I’m excited for what we’re going to accomplish.

It seems to be easy for my Republican colleagues to vote to take away health care from hardworking families while they themselves get to have government-subsidized health care. I'd like to issue a challenge to Senate Republicans: if you vote against extending the ACA tax credits, go without health insurance for you and your family for a year. Walk a mile in the shoes of families who are going to lose their care because of you.

We pay taxes in exchange for essential services, safety, security, protection of our rights, freedoms & civil liberties & social order NOT to give home loans to non-citizens & migrants that are now competing with Aussies.
