When director Bong Joon-ho made Memories of Murder (2003), the Hwaseong serial k*ller was still at large. Believing the k*ller would eventually watch the film, Bong deliberately ended it with a character staring directly into the camera, forcing the real-life m*rderer to lock eyes with the audience if he ever sat in the theater. Between 1986 and 1991, Lee Choon-jae terrorized Hwaseong, South Korea, by rap*ng and strangling 14 women and girls. A botched police investigation failed to catch him, resulting in the wrongful 20-year imprisonment of an innocent man. In 2019, DNA evidence finally exposed Lee, who was already serving a life sentence for an unrelated 1994 m*rder. He confessed to the Hwaseong k*llings, but could not be prosecuted for them because the statute of limitations had expired.

When we start adding characters, it becomes very difficult to achieve the exact animation, gesture, or movement we are looking of all of them in a single generation. In addition, the more characters are added, the more rigid Seedance 2.0 animations become in order to maintain consistency. This is especially visible in styles with squash and stretch and rubber hose animations, where the characters deform their body parts as if they were made of rubber, or in highly expressive movement animations in anime. For these cases, it is better to work on each animation separately and recompose it at the end into a video. Workflow + Prompts 👇
