Today the Hyderabad Traffic Police organised the Meeting on Safety of School going children at Ravindra Bharathi as the academic year has started . The Collector and heads of the RTA, RTC , Education, also attended and all gave useful instructions and suggestions to the 750 school managements present and also some school children. I highlighted the need to employ two or more private security guards as Traffic Marshals by the schools to manage traffic outside and inside the school for a length of 200 metres on the left and right . They will be trained by the Traffic police and work under their supervision. I encouraged parents to use car pooling apps to send their children safely rather than stuffing them into autos , CCTV s need to be installed all over the school and outside also , pan shops and other small shops near schools need to be removed as they are peddling narcotics in some places . It was told very clearly that anything happening to any student will be the responsibility of the school management and they will have to face criminal action if they don’t invest in student safety . Requested the traffic police to see if they can revive the school traffic commandos programme which I had organised as traffic Addl-CP 15 years ago.

Today I inspected Govt. Primary School Masood, which is just 20 mins away from Chandigarh. Yet, there’s no washroom, no boundary wall, no proper classroom, no furniture, & students were not able to do even basic Maths or English. School had a projector which was never used & two computer systems that have never opened. And it was a “Smart School” of previous governments but only on papers! Suspended both the teachers. Two new teachers have been deployed in their place & a grant of Rs 50 Lakhs has also been issued for the school.

In Japanese elementary schools, the early years focus as much on character and social responsibility as academics. Students absolutely learn math, reading, and science. But in the first couple grades, schools put a big emphasis on things like respect, cooperation, and self-discipline. The idea is that if children care for the space themselves, they learn responsibility and respect for shared environments. (They have janitors for maintenance and for deep cleaning, but not day to day). • Lunch is served by the students. Kids rotate jobs delivering food carts, serving meals to classmates, and cleaning up afterward. • Teachers spend a lot of time reinforcing group harmony and good behavior, which are considered foundational before academic pressure ramps up. The academic pressure definitely comes later. By middle school and high school, Japan has very competitive entrance exams that determine which schools students can attend, and many students attend after-school cram schools called juku to prepare. But in the early years, the philosophy is that a well-functioning community matters just as much as test scores. It’s a cultural difference that a lot of visitors notice right away, because the classroom is treated less like a place kids simply pass through, and more like a shared environment they are responsible for.

A middle school teacher with more than 25 years in the classroom is now on leave after a student’s cellphone video allegedly captured him doing something shocking just moments before students walked in. A teacher at Granite Oaks Middle School in Rocklin, California has been placed on administrative leave after a cellphone video surfaced showing him urinating into a container inside his classroom shortly before students entered. The video shows the teacher unbuttoning his pants and urinating into a canister just off camera. As he finishes and adjusts his clothing, he can be heard repeatedly saying, “gosh, that’s good…gosh gosh gosh gosh gosh.” In the recording, he then grabs the container and walks across the classroom saying, “love it, love it.” Once out of frame, the sound of liquid being poured out can reportedly be heard. Students identified the educator as Dan Champ, an eighth-grade history teacher and Associated Student Body adviser who has reportedly been teaching for more than 25 years, according to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. School officials say they first learned about the video on February 25, after a parent brought it to their attention. I totally agree with Hon. Zambaali on this matter. The Ministry of Education needs to come out and address this issue once and for all. This has been happening for many years, yet learners need to have their school breaks respected. Breaks give students an opportunity to pause from their studies, rest and reset. They also need time to bond with their families, explore other interests and learn things outside the classroom. Why should learners be kept in school during a period that is specifically meant to be a break, all in the name of coaching? There needs to be a proper balance between academic performance and the wellbeing of learners.

I totally agree with Hon. Zambaali on this matter. The Ministry of Education needs to come out and address this issue once and for all. They have to keep phones in the backpacks at all times. There’s a "We see it, we take it" policy. "And on the first day, more than 100 phones were confiscated from students. In the following days, confiscations dropped dramatically. This school district has seen a drop in bullying and a rise in student engagement. Teachers report that there has been "newfound life" injected into the classroom. Students are more talkative and more collaborative." ACP TX sticks with our communities and sees the job through. This weekend in Sandy Creek, Leander, we helped a local community organizer and her husband construct seven raised beds for a friend of theirs whose seasoning business had been literally washed away during the devastating 4th of July flooding in Central Texas. With so many families needing all the help they can get as they go through the heartbreaking process of clearing out and even demolishing their own homes, many have had to put their own businesses & revenue streams on hold, including the women you see in the video. Rebuilding had been put on the back burner for the foreseeable future, but our friend Amanda had an idea that she needed our help with. While her friend was attending the funeral of a mother and her two children who had perished in the flood, we worked with Amanda to surprise the community member by constructing and assembling new beds right where they used to be. With the new beds, she and her husband can finally reopen their seasoning business. The joy on her face warmed our hearts and reminded us of what it means to serve the people. When the state hangs you out to dry, the American Communist Party will have your back.

The Chicago Teachers Union wanted schools shut down for May Day, and even without full cancellation, CPS still gave activists the infrastructure, cover, and legitimacy they were after. Parents send their kids to school for education, not political theater. When a school district starts acting like an organizing arm for a radical union, it is no longer defending education. It is giving it away. They may have kept the buildings open, but they still surrendered the mission.

Parents send their kids to school for education, not political theater. When a school district starts acting like an organizing arm for a radical union, it is no longer defending education. It is giving it away. They may have kept the buildings open, but they still surrendered the mission.
