A Baloch Girl speaking about the closure of girls' schools in Paroom, Panjgur. As she bravely says, their parents happily allow them for their studies, but the government has shut down the schools and not providing them with facilities for their studies. The schools are closed for years due to lack of teachers and other basic facilities. The students, mostly girls of Paroom, organized a protest demanding facilitation in schools. As per, Baloch Literacy Campaign report, there are sixteen schools which are closed in Paroom. Most of them are girls schools. We appreciate this small struggle of the students and are happy to see them raising their voice for their education. We as BSAC demand the government to take action and provide the students with their very basic educational rights. Video credits Nisar Baloch

It is so sad to see the classrooms in Schools turning into gallows for the poor students in #Telangana. So far 56 kids lost their lives in schools due to suicides, food poisoning, and other health related reasons ever since Telangana Congress came into power. During KCR regime, there was a robust health command centre, Panacea which used to monitor the health of lakhs of students seamlessly. Congress govt closed it. Rahul Gandhi

As promised this is Maweni Primary School in Kakamega County (video attached). According to my contact, the situation is dire: Classrooms have no desks. Pupils use dung to patch the floors. Most students have no shoes The school sits near a river, and floods regularly disrupt learning. Meanwhile, in “Singapoor” leaders live in comfort money flows for luxuries and misuse, but not for building classrooms for our children.

One of the foreign students says, They've been offering Namaz in their block inside campus from the past few years after getting permission from the administration of Gujarat University. Who gives permission to Outsiders (Bajrang Dal members) to get inside the Hostel premises? Especially late in the night inside A-Block which is dedicated to International Students? Who are Bajrang Dal members to check on what students are doing inside their hostel block? Many RW supporters on social media are claiming that the students were offering Namaz in open public space without permission. No. These students were offering Taraweeh Namaz at around 10 PM inside the Hostel compound of A-Block which has 75 foreign students staying in the hostel. They claim that they have been offering Namaz during Ramzan for the past 2-3 years with permission from the university. Foreign students studying in Gujarat are part of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) which is under MEA. Hope they MEA takes cognizance.
